I know one of the knee surgeons that looked at him after his first surgery where they butchered his knee. The same injury today is fixed with arthroscopic surgery and 6 weeks of rehab.

I'm old enough to be able to say that I saw him play live & old enough to understand what I was watching.

Bobby Orr is/was the best player ever & this is coming from a hardcore Oiler's fan who lived in Edmonton during their heydays. He was NEVER completely healthy for even 1 game in the NHL since he originally fucked his knee up in junior so he basically did what he did on one 1 leg for long stretches of his career.


edit: just finished watching it & he says he hurt his knee in his first year in the NHL but it had always been reported that he actually hurt it for the first time in junior, although maybe that was the right knee. I'll obviously believe Bobby Orr on this but doesn't change the fact that what he did on 1 good leg was incredible.
