Are you any good at Centipede? It might be your time to shine.

"A Centipede slot machine to hit casino floors soon is more than just a clever licensing deal, or a sign of gambling’s cosmetic change from one-armed bandits to touch screens and digital music. It’s part of a new generation of models that let users show off a rare casino trait: skill."

There are a bunch of old school gamers who specialize in these 80s arcade classics (see King of Kong). There are probably at least a few guys out there who are insanely good at Centipede. I'd be interested to see whether the skill component could actually make this a +EV slot machine. I'm guessing not.

A Human Centipede slot machine would also be cool.

Seminole slots in Florida are horrible, when someone hits a big jackpot they deny paying out because basically they say the machines are rigged not to pay so the machine that did go off must have been broken and therefore it's an invalid winner

Would you like to back that up with any citations?

I'm pretty sure that it's specifically against Nevada Gaming rules for a non-poker slot machine to involve player skill. I believe that your bonus round winnings are determined as soon as you first spin, and it only appears like you're winning more money by playing well at centipede.

There was a Breakout slot machine several years ago where the "spin" button was actually a knob that could rotate for the bonus round. It bombed horribly because I've only ever seen 2 or 3 of them.

It has been reported here a few times in the local newspapers, since the Seminole Casinos started offering slots, it was when they had those stupid bingo slot machines, I have not read about any incidents since they got Vegas style slot machines, i'm not wasting my time looking it up, if you really care about it, i'm sure you are intelligent enough to find the articles yourself in the South Florida Sun Sentinel

The Seminoles are a pretty big deal down here Barry, the Seminole Police even arrested one guy that hit for tampering with the slot machine and nobody can do a damn thing about it because they are an independent Nation and have a private police force on their own territory
this will irk liberals, the Seminole Indians are very proud of their name and were against renaming the FSU Football Seminoles for PC bullshit, like your hero Obama wants to rename the Washington Redskins

Is the bonus round win determined as soon as you first spin or is it randomly determined at payout time? I ask because when last I was in Vegas I played a Deal or No Deal machine where you can play the game just like the TV show. Since you can reject the banker's offer there doesn't seem to be any way to determine your payout ahead of time. However, which case you choose and the amounts in the cases you open is basically random right. Are the amounts in the cases set at the beginning of the bonus round or does the machine determine them on the fly based on a predetermined win for the player? I would think the former. But there's still no skill involved.

From the article: "Several years ago, Bally rolled out a Pong slot machine that let players bounce a rudimentary ball during bonus rounds. But the interlude never boosted winnings more than 4 per cent.

Skilled Centipede players will be able to increase their winnings far beyond that, and future games may raise the payout for hand-eye co-ordination eve more, IGT game designer Keith Hughes said."

Too bad they don't quantify how much they can actually raise the payout but it seems that these non-poker slot machine do involve some element of skill. And it appears that the Pong slots have been in Vegas (at least at some point): http://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowTopic-...as_Nevada.html
