Netflix, Amanda Knox doc. Entertaining and thorough wrap up of her ordeal.
If you like this stuff:
Michael Lewis (Big Short, Moneyball, Blind Side) is coming out with a new book
"The Undoing Project"
It's about heuristics. I am sure it will be entertaining as usual.
The Undoing Project” explores the groundbreaking work of two psychologists, Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky, whose research into decision making and judgment has challenged fundamental beliefs about human nature. In study after study, they showed that when it comes to making decisions, humans are predisposed to irrationality. Their surprising findings have had profound implications for everything from behavioral economics and politics, to advanced medicine and sports.
Yeah, this was really good.
Made me wonder if anyone was in the know about the second round of dick pics about to surface; agree that it almost seems too coincidental that it came out as it was filming but don't know who gains from its release, aside from filmmakers.
I heard that round 3 of pics came out about a month ago but somehow missed that the recipient was 15 and that Weiner could be indicted. Keep filming this guy, shit was great.

A story the MSM will not touch. You won't believe how many of these "pain management specialist" we have. I know some really cool people who've been killed by big pharma way before their time. If you only knew them.
Some subjects are to serious to be partisan. A bit boring but under reported.

OJ Made in America: 8 hours--truly great.
Meru: Crazy climb up steep mountain in Himalayas with GoPros. Strong.

Amanda Knox
most 30 fo 30s.
Story of the American man with no ID found lost and confused in an English town.
I'm curious, how old are you? I've heard quite a few people talk about how great the OJ documentary was this week, like Bill Simmons and Dan Lebatard, and other media guys generally in my age group. I watched it all with great anticipation given how great everyone said it was, and found it well-made, but without a single new fact to me.
I was kind of a trial junkie while it was happening. I was curious why Simmons and Lebatard liked it so much considering they're my age and almost all my peers were inundated with it? I could understand why a 35 year old would be blown away by it, but couldn't figure out the appeal to someone my age. Obviously I can't ask them, which is why I'm curious as to why you liked it so much? Nostalgia? Or young?
Kind of felt this way about Straight out of Compton movie also. Rave reviews, but couldn't grasp why my peers found it great when we lived that time period. Not being argumentative as it was very well done, just generally curious.
Look forward to checking out Weiner doc.
I am in my mid-40s. I thought it had an impressive scope and was well put-together. It set up the racial situation from the 60s through to the 90s and it showed how OJ wanted to do every advertisement possible and how he didn't want to get involved in race politics. I thought it was pretty epic, but we are all allowed our opinions. Some people love La La Land. I don't.
Argh, on phone. Rep was supposed to read that I must have had too much free time back then because I recall people going into that background of LA a lot at the time of the trial. Probably in one of the books about trial. It's clearly me. Your opinion is the consensus one. I simply over OJ'd back then and there's only so much to know I guess.

Just watched "Jim: The James Foley Story." It is solid and effective. Made by HBO.
BCR, you didn't like Someone Knows Something because it was inconclusive. Season 2 is also inconclusive (so far), but it's a LOT more interesting. Give it a listen.
