    My controversial opinion not fact.
Just a FYI, hospice aka palliative care is essentially a stealth euthanasia program. I've seen two people who probably had a couple months trimmed of their lives via Hospice and their increasingly large doses of morphine. It was plain as day, no question about it. Some people are glad they ended the suffering, some are angry and suspect their loved one's life got cut short.

My problem with them is that they don't tell you this in their clever sales pitch because it's illegal and bad for business. Right after you sign the dotted line, they ask you to immediately stop giving the patient their medications that they've taken for years and cancel refills, that should of been a clue. Then they bring in the morphine.

I think there's many nurses who may not be aware of the role of morphine. They probably think that the doctors are really good at predicting death or something. They get the patient so high on morphine that they can't be bothered to drink water and either dehydrate or their heart rate gets depressed til the point of failure.

One of the patients who died wasn't in pain and I told him what I suspect the morphine is for so that way they could make an informed decision. They tried to refuse the morphine and all hell broke loose. At first they constantly urged him to take it, and reassured him it's just to help him relax and it'll help to breathe easier. After that didn't work they told him take it or were removing you from our program. They won, a week or two later RIP.

There was a Dr. in the NY times who admitted it was a "backdoor euthanasia" program and on reddit there was a thread called "What's little known secrets from your industry?" or something and buried pretty deep a Hospice nurse admitted that's what they do, they call it "snowing".

It's a great program and I have nothing but respect for the people who do that disgusting job. They've helped so many people escape from suffering and misery and it keeps the hospital beds open for people who still have plenty of time on their clock I just wish they would be upfront about it but that'd be illegal.

Mumbles you just red flagged my poorly worded revelation of one the best kept secrets in America, ntm one of the most important.

Fact as of Jul 17, 2014: "Doctors are allowed to prescribe lethal doses of medicine to terminally ill patients in five US states. Euthanasia, however, is illegal. In recent years, the "aid in dying" movement has made incremental gains, but the issue remains controversial. Oregon was the first US state to legalize assisted suicide."

    Opinion
Since docs may be getting kickbacks for patients they recco'd to palliative care and because of the law this is not discussed. This is a much needed service and until this can be discussed openly be careful.

Is euthanasia right for your loved one?

Yes: Palliative care is great if you and your family don't want to prolong your family members misery, pain and suffering They're helpful and professional and not stingy with their morphine, it'll be over in about a week to a month.

No: If there's no misery, pain and suffering and still a desire to live and you just thought it would be cool to have someone to help out and relieve you of the burden of transporting a family member to the Dr/hospital. Be aware you may of just signed up for a stealth euthanasia program. Many have made this mistake so be careful. Ask if they'll immediately halt their current medication and roll in the morphine and iirc one other drug.

To the OP, in me experience if it can be afforded I recommend the old folks home. They're professional and you can see how they like it and change your mind if need be. Every situation different so best of luck.

edit: MumblesBadly: Why are you posting this stuff in *this* thread??? He asked here, Here goes Mumbles with his smartest guy in flying stupidity schtick lol. Your attempt to alleviate what you perceived to be a problem actually made it worse, good job.

Which begs the question, why are you posting this stuff in *this* thread??? Don't bother replying I'm done feeding you for the day.

Mumbles you're the worst poster, I'm probably second (political hit job obv.) I'm not sure claiming self appointed mod is a good idea.

The Legend of Zelda on NES had a sprawling world by the standards of 1980s console games. While decades ago people used to draw their own maps to try and keep track of where each dungeon and secret, alternative methods now exist. Like, for instance, 3D printing a replica of the game’s entire overworld.

Willard McFarland was the one to purchase the creation, sharing the below picture on Twitter. According to a report by Retro Gaming Mag, the piece was sold through the Facebook group Trade Sell Collect Retro, with McFarland stating that the person he bought it from had spent six months building the map in Minecraft. They then used that to create a file for a 3D printer. 24 hours of printing and six hours of painting later, this was created:

Retro gamer and web series producer Mike Matei then proceeded to upload and share a series of higher resolution pictures of the map he received from McFarland. The zoomed in images show a number of small details ranging from the game’s different dungeons and infamous graveyard to small tunnel entrances and river docks.
Might be the most awesome thing ever.

One of metroid would be top-top
