LOL @ $20 for that view. Admittedly it's better during the day (as you can see the river better), but still not worth $20.

The $2 for water doesn't frustrate me much. You bought it from a machine, so that's fairly standard. If you're thirsty, you're thirsty, and sometimes you have to pay for a cold drink.
Regarding Bubba Gump, I have been to that place once in my life. It was in Santa Monica, CA. I had the slowest service experience of my life. From the moment we sat down, it took like 20 minutes to even have the waitress show up, and it was all downhill from there. The biggest LOL thing was at the end where the waitress "took a break" and I wanted to pay and GTFO. I was told that it was the restaurant policy that the server had to take my payment, and that I'd have to wait for her to get back "in about 15 minutes" to pay. I told them no fucking way, and that I was offering to pay now, and if they refused to take my money, I was going to walk out. Finally after about a 5 minute back-and-forth, the manager backed down and said, "Okay, okay, I'll just erase the bill." I told her that I wasn't going to leave a tip for the terrible waitress, but that I wanted to instead give the tip to the kitchen staff and dish washers in the back. "Sorry, they're not allowed to accept tips," she said. I LOL'd and walked out.
Was actully the best service I had ever experienced. The waitress came around almost too much! Things must of changed over the years because of horrendous complaints like yours. Still don't order anything fried it's not that good then.
I played a little poker in Laughlin this year -- some 1-2 NL. The rake on the limit game was so horrible that I refused to play it. The competition was awful, as expected. It was a mix of loose-passive old men and some wannabe-hotshot young Asians who had predictable play styles and were easy to exploit. I won like $200, got bored, and quit.
Ryland, did you notice a complete lack of hot chicks walking around in Laughlin? The few pretty girls I saw in that town were always walking around with their husbands/boyfriends. Unlike in Vegas, where you see tons of hot chicks either with other girls or by themselves, that is completely absent in Laughlin. I think this is because hot chicks probably think Laughlin is an unappealing destination, and therefore you only see them if their man drags them there.
