Holy shit, more fights! Wait, who are these guys? Bader v Texiera, UFC Fight Night 28

Looks like the UFC is new Prince Spaghetti. Card starts at like 4:30 EDT, TV at 5, and main card at 7 PM EDT. From somewhere I've never heard of before, Brazil.

Any card with Jacare is at least a decent Strikeforce card, and Texiera hopefully will make the Main Event fun. A bunch of Silvas, a few Souzas, a couple -inos, and hopefully a bunch of violent finishes. When it's all over, how about two more hours of UFC programming? Rousey-Tate TUF episode one, two hours after the Brazilians have murdered all the foreigners.

Glover Teixeira (206) vs. Ryan Bader (205)
Yushin Okami (185) vs. Ronaldo Souza (186)
Joseph Benavidez (126) vs. Jussier da Silva (126)
Francisco Trinaldo (155) vs. Piotr Hallmann (155)
Rafael Natal (185) vs. Tor Troeng (185)
Marcos Vinicius Borges Pancini (126) vs. Ali Bagautinov (125)
Felipe Arantes (146) vs. Edimilson Souza (146)
Elias Silverio (169) vs. Joao Zeferino (170)
Lucas Martins (136) vs. Ramiro Hernandez (135)
Ivan Jorge (169) vs. Keith Wisniewski (170)
Yuri Villefort (170) vs. Sean Spencer (171)

Here's a quick event preview with a nice Canadian accent.

And here's an awesome vid from E Casey Leydon about the TUF women's try-outs, from a few months ago.

Zuffa is really getting behind their Fox Sports 1 deal if they're going live every Wednesday. I'm glad to see this because I am a fan of fight cards with the younger unknown fighters.

    Yushin Okami +225
Jussier da Silva +400 to 480 are good values for betting.

I think Okami wins outright. He's gonna do what Okami does.

I read an article about how Fox Sports 1's ratings have been horrifically bad thus far. Some of their analysis shows are getting infomercials-esque numbers. Live UFC fights are basically the only shows getting decent viewers, so they're going to show as many as possible.

Dude fought in WEC 3. He's only 33, but he just got slow before our eyes. He's all done before he ever got going in the UFC. If he gets Jones next, Jones'll crush him, and Glover'll never get another UFC win ever.

Or maybe he'll get on TRT and be here for another 8 years.

apparently he had a supernaturally bad cut so we will see. hes looked solid in the past. but jones isnt even going to have to get out of bed to whip his ass, not on glovers best day.

Its official. Texiera gets shot at 205 belt against winner of Jones Vs. Gustafsson. First guy who can negate Jones reach advantage should be interesting (Gustafsson that is). If Gustafsson wins the belt no way he beats Texiera in his first defense as Texiera has just been a buzzsaw.

ftpjesus: Agreed, But hasnt that been the premise of Jones dominance is his huge reach advantage. Still think Jones wins in the end. But as Silva proved anything is possible.

gustafsson looked borderline shitty in his most impressive wins, neither of which were against very impressive opponents.

absolutely do not give fucks about the next 2 belt fights in LHW.

If Jones wins against the Swede Id love to see Texiera just tear him apart. If for no other reason then to put his ego back in check considering he nearly lost the title to Sonnen on a technicality due to that foot injury.

Jones still has like an 8 inch reach advantage on this guy, just so happens gustafsson is tall.

Post fight presser if anybody missed it. Looks like they got the translator problem figured out. Way better than other pressers in Brazil.
