I played 2/5 NL at the new Hialeah Park poker room for the first time on Fri 08/23. (BTW, GREAT new room, nicest in S. FL) When I sat down there was a blond dealer more than halfway through her shift and right away I thought that I recognized her. It was bugging me where I might know her from but I figured I must have seen her dealing at the 4 other S. FL rooms I have played in for many years, (since I did see 5 or 6 other dealers from rooms where I had played before.) When I got home, it was still bugging me why I thought I knew her, but not from dealing, then it hit me...that was Lily, the Grinder's wife! (who I have seen on TV many times & met in person at a tourney in the Calder room where the Grinder was "hosting".) The blond hair threw me, but a quick Google to see her face again confirmed it. I played there again yesterday 08/30 and did not see her, so asked one of the floor supervisors (who I also know from another room) and she told me yes, that Lily was dealing there.

It is not confirmed, but I would say it is fairly likely from the post above, unless the guy is completely making things up.

So why is she dealing there?

PLOL revealed recently that she's been playing 5-10 NL, and that she isn't good in his opinion.

Grinder has hit several nice scores in recent years, but was also known to be backed and hugely in debt prior to that, so perhaps he's still broke.

Some on 2+2 suggested she is just dealing poker just to do her own thing for a bit, but I don't believe that. Poker dealers take plenty of abuse. It's a thankless job, and you are stuck dealing with tons of ingrates, assholes, and superstitious jerks who blame you for their bad luck (and sometimes their own bad play). It's not a thing you do for fun.

Here's what I don't understand:

If the family is struggling to make ends meet to the point where she needs to take a dealing job, why is she also playing 5-10 NL?

And if you say that she is dealing so she can make "her own" money to play 5-10, keep in mind that Grinder is known to be generous and free with his money (far too much, actually), so it's doubtful that he's acting like a tightwad with his wife just because she's a losing 5-10 player.

I really don't get it. I guess it's possible that she and Mike have split. Anyone heard anything about this?

I was in Vegas during the weekend of August 16th for my bday and was just coming out of the Venetian poker room around 3 am or so with a few buddies of mine when I spotted Mizrachi and Ivey walking out what I can only assume was Tao or Lavo after a fun night of partying. On top of these two rolling pretty deep with their own entourage of douchebags they also had about 20+ hot ass chicks in tow that followed them all the way through the casino to the outside to the valet area.

Long story short, Grinder had several of these little club rats all over him on the way out - not one of them being Mrs Grinder, lol. Mizrachi jumped into a limo with at least 10 of these girls and some of his crew, while Ivey pulled 3 of these girls into his Range Rover (2 in the back, 1 girl actually driving - wtf?) as he hopped into the passenger seat. Mizrachi's limo followed the Range Rover out, with Ivey's thugged-out crew following behind them in two BMW 7-Series convertibles.

Lily is not ugly but not super hot either. She has big tits but unless we get a glimpse of those warlocks in the buff nobody can confirm they are all that, however, they are her ticket to bigger tips.

The floor supervisor clearly realized if he said Lily didn't work there he would be lying and could piss off future customers from not coming to the room when it can be easily confirmed from other players over the next day or so anyways.

She has to know people recognize her as Grinders wife (soon to be ex?) before she took the job so the room can't hide her identity BUT it would be nice to know if she had a different dealer name tag other then Lily in hopes to throw some people off.

I should clarify what I meant. I said I played 5/10 with her, but this was a while ago in Hollywood, not on my most recent trip. I definitely got the impression that she was being fed money from her husband (who was in the back room playing 25/50 PLO).
