LOOKS LIKE A CAKE WALK
can we just give the national championship to Oregon already. there on a different level then anybody else in the country
They do look very impressive. They've looked very impressive in the past, until they get punched in the face, and then they crumble. By any metric, they look to be the best team in the country presently, but they need to prove it at the end of a year against a physical team before people are going to buy it. They may do it, because their defense looks more legit than in the past, but they still have to do it before people consider them more than a one trick pony.
Baylor is the best team in the B12, and their offense is every bit as dangerous as Oregon. They played a slightly weaker schedule, but they had almost 700 yards in offense in the first half against a bi-polar WVU team that beat Okie Lite the week before. Not saying they are on Oregon's level overall, but they have it going down there in a big way on offense. They are averaging 775 yard of offense per game, and that's with shutting it down against stiffs at half time. I'm really curious to see if they can keep it going against the Sooners and better teams in the B12
Ohio State's defense makes me want to gouge out my own eyes. Fucking soft coverage makes me want to burn Fickell and Withers houses down, especially with a Dline beating their man consistently, only to arrive at a QB who dumped the ball on a 3 yards pass. Fuck that, get burnt a few times a game playing press, it's better than getting dinked and dunked for 30 a game.
Does anyone really think Ohio State would stay within 21 points of Alabama, or Oregon? I'd take the under in both games because I figure the over would be 55 and I could easily see a Bama 38 - Ohio State 7 type score. The only reason the difference would not be larger would be because Alabama would simply lose interest in the second half.
Friday Tailgate: Will Oregon ever stop flopping in big games?
Jesse Yomtov, USA TODAY Sports 4:35 p.m. EST November 8, 2013
"In what's seemingly becoming an annual affair, Oregon's national title hopes came crashing down with an untimely loss, this time in a 26-20 loss to Stanford.
For all the hype, for all the points and for all the uniforms over the years, Oregon has a shortage of anything meaningful to show for it.
Most programs would give anything for four consecutive BCS berths like Oregon has managed since 2009, but this isn't most programs. Sports on Earth's Michael Weinreb asked yesterday if at this point, Oregon is a football team or an advertising campaign. With each loss, it's becoming more and more difficult to argue against the latter."

I'm still reserving my judgement on OSU. They haven't played a real high quality team yet so it's hard to tell. It will be much easier to gauge them after they play Michigan State in the Big Ten championship game.
I'm a huge buckeye fan, but I don't think the defense is good enough to win a big game against a good team with a big o-line, too young imo.
