Pretty amazing story. Nevada state-run mental hospitals put 500 patients on buses to San Francisco and Sacramento, with a few days' worth of snacks and meds, and told them to call 911 when they arrived.

This was to transfer the burden of care onto California.

How did they think they would get away with this?

When Reagan slashed funding to mental hospitals in the 80s, causing like half of them to shutter their doors, the patients were given like $50 and a greyhound ticket to San Francisco. This is exactly why SF remains such a petting zoo for unfettered lunatic derelicts.

Reason being, Cali is the only state in the country with a half way functional mental health outreach program.

LIke this is anything new. For fuck sake its a dirty secret that many cities put homeless on buses and ship them elsewhere. There was a known issue with VA shipping their homeless to NC and then NC would ship them down to SC. I assume eventually the homeless if moved enough times ended up in climates safe enough for year round enjoyment without risk of the elements killing them most of the year. We have homeless here in AZ which the only issue is keeping them from drying up like raisins in the sun when its 115 outside probably much like Vegas does. Besides Cali needs an excuse to fucking raise taxes yet again with their left wing craddle to grave mentality. Between the far left, the illegals I keep hoping more and more the big one will hit and break that cesspool off into the pacific sooner rather then later. (And yeah I have family in Northern Cali but they are left wing libtards also so I wont miss them too much)
