DeShaney vs. Winnebago - 1980's Supreme Court Case

I'm going to keep this story short - a few years ago, I had found out that my aunt had gone to the supreme court in the 80's for the abuse and loss of of her son but that's all that my family would tell me because it was a very touchy subject.

Recently, I found out a few more of the details and it was the DeShaney vs. Winnebago case and Joshua was the victim. My family is still hesitant about sharing, so I'm not going to push the subject. I purchased the book and all that, I've learned the story about the case. However, everyone in my family has told me that Joshua has died, but I can't find a obituary anywhere and one blogger suspects he is in an institution in Wisconsin.

I wouldn't be surprised if my aunt hid that fact that he is still alive considering how guilty she feels about the whole thing.

I'm pretty sure there is less than 1% chance that a bunch of poker misfits would have any clue, but thought I'd try. If anyone knows anything, please PM me.

Thank you Grenada for the help - I found that paper a few minutes ago (before I had a chance to check back here).
