Interesting first week.
SF vs Seattle next Sunday night is the game that intrigues me the most in Week 2.
Oh, and this video never gets old:
Sports Illustrated has a five part revealing of their findings in the Oklahoma State scandal going up over the next week or so.
Part 1 is here:

eli is such an enigma...he can be so fucking clutch in one game and then he can look worse than complete dogshit in the next game and have many manning faces...
I think romo gets a bad rap...not saying he's in the brees/peyton/brady/Rodgers group, but his numbers are pretty sick if you look at them...and I know numbers are numbers, but he just cant suck given his numbers...I think he's actually the anti-eli...he has a lot of dogshit moments and then he'll throw those clutch plays in where youre like, 'oh guess he's not total shit'...
Relax, if it was that easy you wouldn't have your day job.
1 week of 20+ w/playoffs.
Vegas had a great opening weekend, the bettors got smoked.
TB, Houston and Indy looked like the big covers for the books.

Pats
Jets +13
Taking Jets & points.
Can't get away from this bet. The Pats were awful and the only two bright spots were Vereen (wrist surgery) & Amendola (groin) and they are are done.
Jets defense good enough & the Pats defense is wanting. Ridley in the Pats backfield is a prop bet for over/under fumbles. Receiver Tompkins is overwhelmed.
Too many points. The public has not caught on to just how incomplete the Pats offense is post Welker, Hernandez, Gronkowski etc etc. Public still prolly has Pats as Superbowl contenders. Unique opportunity.
Not a lock but +EV with the points.
the pats defense is better than you think. and the jets offensive is worse than you think.
only way the pats don't score big is if the jets can establish the run and milk the clock.....if that's the case, the jets might not make it to 14 pts,,in fact, i can see the jets scoring 1 TD and 1 FG here if it turns into a defensive game....equally, i can see new england throwing up 49pts as well and it wouldn't surprise me.
First, I am still on tilt. AA vs JJ.
Seriously, where do the snap 5 TDs or 49 points come from? The running game? That is the legacy Patriots respect that has the line at 13. And that is why I can't shake this game. I am convinced its a pricing mistake resulting from the same folks buying the NFL's women's apparel. Trendy money pushing the line.
Looks like a good chance for rain at game time. FWIW
Ex Pats Reciever Brandon Lloyd turned down Patriots offer. Belichick hated Lloyd too. But they need receivers. Edelman is gonna be tired catching all those TD passes. Lol
Word is Lloyd has turned down 6 teams total!
I am playing under 43.5 Pats Jets
Pats lack weapons as do the jets and they have a rookie coming to Foxboro.
The jets line is still not great, rookie QB, bad RBs, their leading WR from last year is out with a concussion.
Pats lost so much in the offseason in Welker, Hernandez, Lloyd and Woodhead. Gromk is doubtful as is Amendola who was Bradys go to guy last week in the clutch. Tompkins, an undrafted rookie FA had 13 targets but only managed 4 catches. Sudfeld who is Gronks fill in caught 0 balls and didn't look good. Vereen had an awesome game and he is out and Ridley is fumbling again. Could see a Blount pounding the ball and a lot of ball control offense.
So with Amendola out they are looking at Ridley/Blount Tompkins/Edelman/Sudfeld and Maybe Boyce or Dobson.
Of course they always have Brady and if he gets in sync they could put up points but with the lack of firepower on both sides under 43.5 I have to play.
All the fish at my local casino were talking about the game, and how much they love the Jets. I think they are both awful, but NE will beat them. I would wait if you like NE I think it will be close to 10 at gametime if the public keeps betting it down. I would consider playing it at -10, but theres a 60% chance of storms. If theres rain I wouldnt touch it. I think Chinas correct the under is probably the best play.
The more I think about this game if the weathers fine NE has to win by at least 14. The Jets running backs had 22 carries for 44 yards. Their top receiver although a fuckin soldier hes a tight end and not that good. I think NE will play alot of nickel and dime and keep the rookie in the pocket and say beat us by throwing. Not sure if I will play it yet but Im leaning towards NE and under.
I'm just now starting to look at this weekend's games and these are the first two that stick out to me. I think South Carolina covers easy, but I don't see WV just destroying Georgia State by 40. What do you guys think?
You ask people what makes the Patriots so good and every one will tell you it's Tom Brady, and maybe the coach. The reality is it's Tom Brady and the O-Line. It's the same now as it was back in 06 when they were rolling out Caldwell and Gaffney and still posting 40 point weeks. Brady is still very good and the O-line is still one of if not the best in the NFL. I'm not worried about the WE/TE situation the ball will get there and someone more often then not will catch it.
All that being said - it's the NFL. 12 points are too many. I can't bring myself to take the Jets, but if I had to bet it I'd lean NYJ.
I like the following overs in NCFF action.
Troy Over
Texas Tech Over
