The only beer I drink is stout.
Friend bought me a bottle of this for my birthday.

Stupidly expensive $60-$70AUD per 750ml bottle.
11.7% and without a doubt one of the best stouts I've ever had.

Another favourite is Left Hand Milk Stout.

Hard to get here in Australia though.

What is worse beer geek culture or the new wave weed culture? I'm gonna say the latter

Like I said, I like a more refined drinking experience rather than downing crates of watered down ass eg. Budweiser, Carlsberg, Fosters etc. There's so many unique tasting beers out there to try, just as there is types of weed. But teh booze just gets you drunk and leaves you with a hangover, whereas the weed can have a therapeutic effect while opening the mind and you don't feel rough as the next day.

I just wonder if the beer tastes like the Detroit River?

I'm sure they filter it obviously but in that case why not just walk outside and grab a bunch of snow on the ground to make the beer instead of using the river water?

I haven't bought my share of Bells Hopslam yet this year but probably will pickup at least two to four 6 packs this weekend.

But since Druff doesn't do beer, I do a lot less sampling because it's more fun to share with another enthusiast.

Do you really call him Druff in real life?
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

One of the bigger disappointments last summer was my first bells Hopslam. That beer has a hype that confounds me after hearing about it for years but being outside distribution never trying it

was at a bar last night that offered Hop Slam on top (completely shocked me). Sold out in 3 days, yet they have had it on their menu for months....idiots.

I have heard that Hopslam, year to year, has been different, so Im not surprised you caught it on a bad year. I had it once about 4 years ago and it was really good, but I wouldnt pay $4/bottle at a liquor store for it.

I just had something from Sierra Nevada called CAMP (something else added to that name). It was a Hoppy lager. Pretty damn good. Limited edition.

I've been wanting to get my hands on some Hop Slam. Pliny, Heady Topper, and Hop Slam are just so damn hard to find.

    I'm Sipping on this tonight.

Really easy drinking for 9.5 abv. Any hopheads should give this a try.

I had that Double Jack one time, waiting for a date to show up after work. I hadnt eaten anything since breakfast, and by the time she showed up, I had most of that beer and was toasted. It was yummy.
