I usually gravitate toward Belgian styles too, but in the Spring I like to try the seasonal beers that Sam Adams and New Belgium put out. Yesterday it was a choice between SA's "Alpine Spring" and NB's "Dig". Never having tried either, I went with the latter because I knew I couldn't go wrong with Cascade hops.
But since Druff doesn't do beer, I do a lot less sampling because it's more fun to share with another enthusiast.
Ummmmm...... bud light
Well I'm fucked. I thought I just saw a question from Tony that
I missed last night dealing with my sobriety. Maybe another thread.
Any way I'm fine. They say your not an alcoholic until
you've gone to a meeting. :rimshot
My problem is Ritalin and gambling and everything is status quo
unfortunately
one of the guys from dogfishhead opened a brewery in Houston...so this is my drink tonight...going to a cookout and don't want anything too thick.
Now we're talking Belgian? This is my absolute #1 favorite beer on the planet-

The user ratings aren't great because a lot of people hate on golden ales. A Belgian friend of mine was actually surprised that we could get it in the US. He said that when he moved away 15 years ago, it was considered a microbrew. And he said that it is a favorite among Belgians.
A fantastic, similar, ale is made by the North Coast brewery in California. Pranqster is my favorite beer at the Yardhouse bar and I have recently found it in 4 packs.

Love microbrews though.
Enjoy!!!
Kona Brewing firerock FTW
Heady topper by the alchemist brewery in Vermont is the best thing one can buy in the USA at the moment. It is a double ipa in a can and it will mindfuck you into wondering how such a beer can blow away it's competition so hard. Its worth the hype
here's what I'm having today
Forget the cheap light American Beer for a minute but this idea is great.
La Folie
Cascade Brewings Kriek
Those are my favorite 2 sours right now.
Tricerahops
Hop Lava
And those for IPA's/double ipa's
I am on a stout kick. I mainly have stuck to Guinness or Murphy's throughout my life, but am now trying to taste every stout out there. This is what is sitting in my fridge now. Holy shit is this stuff good...
Not sure if I can ever really enjoy a Guinness again after tasting this.
Store down the street from me stated getting tilquin geuze and some other good sours. Life is getting more expensive.
