It is certainly possible, although the technology available at the time this was in print makes it unlikely. I find myself noticing a few odd things about the photo, but not the usual photoshop alerts. The copy on the right has been brightened, enlarged and cropped - that is all.
The more I look at it, the more strange things I notice. The free hand looks extremely odd... amirite?
Looks like an over-exposed negative on the photo paper tbh, if you look at the scans they looks almost identical on "background noise" from scanning. It's just the lights are bleeding into the darker areas. I can partially see the tips of the freehand, other than that looks like the same negative. It could be PS'd but I don't why you'd add brightness to that photo in the 1st place.Originally Posted by Vwls

You can read many views about this photo being fake or real. I lean towards some altering. I don't think that really matters. His -- I am a patsy only means Oswald was involved but wasn't the main guy. There was more than one shooter.
I recently saw a Kennedy assassination shooting show. They had a marine sharpshooter in a recreation of the shooter's nest. They had figured out the angle of the shots and had the same spots where the casings dropped marked with red circles. The sharpshooter followed the sequence of shots and angles in the same time Oswald? did. It was pretty cool to see all the expelled casings rolled into almost the exact same spots as the ones in the book depository.
One of the guys I worked with on the trading floor dad was one of the main doctors who did the Kennedy autopsy. He was a military doctor who had a more ceremonial post than a practicing one. He hadn't done an autopsy since his medical school days. He objected to doing the autopsy considering this was one of the most important autopsy's in history and he really didn't feel he knew what the fuck he was doing. He was forced (almost under a gun) to do the autopsy. Read a little/google about the crazy atmosphere of the autopsy.
There were 3 groups who really wanted to get Kennedy. The military who didn't like his weak anti-communist stand and general disdain for the military. The anti-castro faction who were disgusted by the bay of pigs. I don't think Castro was in on the hit because he knew the furry it could bring. All dictators want to remain at their posts.
Last and most likely was the mob. They helped get Kennedy elected and then his brother went after them. They asked around and found a lot of generals and big people would not object. The mob really wanted to take out crusader Robert Kennedy. That was the first plan.
The mob realized if they took out Robert his brother would come after them guns blazing. This led to the mob realizing they had to get rid of the big dog JFK. 2 birds one stone. Robert would be stunned and trying to make unsubstantiated accusations so close to the killing would backfire.
