Atlantic Club says no to Pokerstars but yes too, Churchill Downs?

Just finding this today, apparently "just a rumor" but...

"The rumor involves the Sugar House Casino, developed in Philadelphia in 2010, and Churchill Downs Inc., renowned racetrack owner and operator of five casinos, vying to buy the Atlantic Club casino in Atlantic City."

"The latest is that one of these two companies has signed a 30-day agreement for the possible sale of the Atlantic Club."

My hunch is it's the latter.

In turn, the software provider for Boss is SpieloG2/GtechG2, ultimately owned by Lottomatica Group/Gtech out of Italy, who are the systems suppliers/operators for many of the state lotteries in the U.S. (and lottery and other gaming worldwide).

Thanks for that PLOL, always enjoyed PokerXanadus contributions on poker legislation stuff over there and have wondered about Gamesys. First I saw that.

Bally Technologies stocks been really good lately and Ballys Tech being a publicly traded U.S company means Golden Nugget is fine. UltimatePoker no sweat, and the rest is where it starts to get interesting. In theory, the State of N.J could literally strong arm this market. Who would stop the gaming commission from technically picking and choosing. Now imo that is actually a good thing for players, but not so good for them big foreign companies looking for a slice of the pie. The more I dig on bwin.party the more I realize, they may not have such an easy time. The Borgata you would think would try and offer what they do great live, poker, but what happens if bwin gets a late no go from the State in say, September. Caesers gets a big jump, possibly a Golden Nugget as well. Very interesting stuff to watch unfold.

Here's where Borgata has a big edge, they have the biggest poker room in NJ. So they can have satellites to all their events/series and even their smaller tournaments where it doesn't make sense for them to hold a satellite in the room to a $200 tournament.

And if/when PStars gets approved, they'll probably hold some sort of "NJCOOP" with a big guarantee where people might fly in to NJ just to stay in a hotel to play the online series. Personally I'd consider flying in to Hoboken to play and then turn it in to a NYC vacation

Oh I agree, but what happens if the Borgatas partner gets, denied. You would think they have secondary plans, but in order to launch on time like presumably Caesers will, bwin has to get the nod. Hobokens dope, way expensive though.

It don't matter the latest news is Pokerstars has been shut out of New Jersey for at least the next two years due to the “Unresolved federal indictment” against PokerStars founder Isai Scheinberg:
