Sorry if this is boring ass drivel, but he raises a lot of interesting points in the British media. Amongst other stuff, he talks about capitalism and how the US government uses the anti-drug law as a form of social control.
Seems very passionate about it anyway and thought it might interest a few of you.

Heard all about The Wire but not had the pleasure yet. But the way he was talking about the issues and expressing himself, it came across as informing rather than reminding the masses.
So ruling out lost causes like Rollo and other inbred tards. why doesn't anyone else of prominent note shout this from the rooftops like Mr Simon is attempting to do?

And Brother Mouzone. Season five was definitely the low point but not nearly as much of a blight as some say it is.
Im on season 4 and the worst part of this show so far has been all of the white people. Tommy Carcetti could have been a great character but I have to fast forward everytime he comes on. Season 2 was kind of awful as well on the docks with sobotka and crew. Any scenes between the lesbian cop and her chick need to get ff as well.It might be underrated. I have no problem with that fact.
The Wire was awesome. I think about it often when I see former Laker Lou Williams on tv.

Any other constructive personal opinions about this series?
I haven't watched it yet but I was thinking about diving in. I just dont want it to be a flick that for example starts out good and then turns into some kind of a shitshow that I would regret spending time on.
Ive already seen the ratings and partially based on that it "looks" good; i was just curious if anyone here had any further opinions.
It’s my favorite series ever made, assuming we are talking The Wire from the title of this very old thread. I don’t know what constructive to add if you have read reviews. Anyone I’ve ever recommended it to thinks it’s among the best things they’ve ever seen. It’s about bureaucracy and the drug game in Baltimore. I watch it in its entirety every few years.
I never watched Treme, which was discussed in the last few posts.
