Wow, 4 names that I recognize, and I hardly follow poker on TV at all. (I do like the HPT)
I've been admiring this for days, then I realized who's avatar it is.
Fluffer, please tell me this is a women,
If Carlos and Tran make it to the final table with healthy stacks it should make for good tv.
I've been watching some of the fifth street radio broadcast which the guy is going over the WSOP main event hands while in some room in the Rio where he's interviewing people,etc...
Phil Hellmuth is in there right now talking but he had several other people over the past few hours on the show as well. If anyone is bored here's the link:

Looks like Newhouse made the final table, but with a short stack. David Benefield is slightly shorter than he is.
I wonder if Newhouse is going to try and win it, or if he's just going to let people fall off ahead of him, since the money for each place is so huge in this event. I bet he will try to win, knowing him.
Kinda depressing that I had several times more chips than JC Tran did (12,500), about two hours before I busted.
I actually remember browsing down the Pokernews chip list, seeing JC Tran at the bottom, and thinking he was probably going to be listed as "Busted" next time I looked.
Right after Mark got the CL and on the break pokernews interviewed him and he broke down the 22 vs AJ hand and he went thought the thinking and couldn't believe the guy stacked off with trips Aces in that spot....I knew right then he wasn't gonna risk it postflop with a mediocre hand.... hellava read ...seriously. when he ck/called the turn bet I'm sure he knew he was beat there. Mark is a sick sick poker player.

JC Tran was spewing hard on the unofficial final table probably just trying to put pressure on but in a few spots he should have learned when to put the breaks on. He did get lucky in the last hand which is played so atrociously.
I'm not sure wtf Carlos is doing preflop here he just don't have the chips to do some strange stuff with A9o. JC is calling the flop bet with his gutshot and potential pair outs because Carlos made it cheap preflop in a standard shove spot which JC saw the flop because he was clearly trying to end the night and 87o is a big pair busting hand.
Carlos getting cute with a hand like that was horrible especially in the gear JC was playing in on the unofficial final table where he chunked off like 9 million or like 26-27% of his stack before winning a few small pots and busting Carlos.
