i know a few ppl who work in the australian tv/film industry, and even they are shocked that so many men who are portrayed as ''ladies men'' are gay. They hear all the gossip all the time, who is sleeping with who, who is on drugs, and so on

Actually, from what I have noticed, the "lipstick" lesbians tend to be average looking -- not hot, not ugly -- and their partners are just about always Vanessa Selbst types.
