Big news, CHINO admits a lot of what is said about him is true.

I don't get why he thinks just admitting he has made some mistakes make him a stand up guy.
He never goes so far as to correct those mistakes.

He looks up to Eric Lindgrin, for what? doing the exact same thing?
It is always the same thing w/him, 'next score will be different', well at least he knows that is BS now.

"You can’t knock anyone for their past mistakes.”

    I especially like this quote,
I think he got this from the transcripts of the Mark McGwire trial.

"For me personally I just want to finally get out [of debt] and then figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life.”

Why? he doesn't pay his debts anyway.
    Just start a new life,
maybe you are a good poker player, but you aren't making money at it,
when do you throw in the towel?

Are lenders in the poker world just more compassionate and forgiving than in other venues?

I'm not one to get all internet tough and say that I would break his legs but he seems to think it's all silly and games. People don't sell debts in the gambling community?

I would have serious problems and consider a plan of action if someone rolled me for $10k+ and still went to tournaments, shot off in the pits etc.

I could explain it in a long winded post or you could just go watch Poker Bustouts on youtube.

About 5 or 6 years ago I went to watch the $10K horse buy-in at the Commerce Club during Febuary when they have that big event. And am watching a table with Chino Rheen, Jeff Madsen, and Scotty Nguyen sitting respectfully in line.

This gentleman next to me says, Look at that, they're working Madsen.''

I say, ''What do you mean?'' Being kinda dumb in those days.

''I mean Chino and Scotty Are trying to bet Madsen out of every pot. Can't you see that? They're working together.'' He says.

    ''Oh I hadn't noticed mister.'' I said.

Well at the poker break I went outside and had a cigarette. Then noticed that Chino Rheen and Scotty Nguyen are not less than 20 feet away from me in a hot discussion and laughing.

Hmm, I have a sneaky reason to believe the guy was right about those two as they worked Madsen right down to the final table and the finish was

    First Scotty Nguyen

    Second Chino Rheen

    Third Jeff Madsen

And Scotty and Chino decided to chop the tourney at the end.

As God is my eternal witness this is a true story.

Poker grinder wins a tournament for a big pay day

"So what are you gonna do with all your winnings?"
"Pay off some people I owe."
    "What about the rest?"
    "They will have to wait."

    Interesting story.

But I haven't known Scotty and Chino to be friends.

BTW, I looked at the final table for that one. All known pros. Those big Commerce tournaments were terrible value.

This would be a Vietnamese immigrant culture thing, more than a friends thing.
