Dumars came out and said Knight isn't a point guard and should move over to the 2, so going into the pick everyone assumed he was going to pick 1 of the 3 remaining point guards..and...he...didnt..
Lots of people are hyped as undersized that overcome adversity and Trey Burke will do the same. That is what dropped him a few spots in the draft but the kid has game and will continue to improve. Don't be surprised if Burke is an All Star in four or five years.

burke was definitely the best player out there at that time...
The best opposing view to staying away from Burke is, size and the fact that Knight now has someone he can pass to that can actually knock down shots. If they draft Burke they still have nobody to pass to that can knock shots down.
dont know anything about the guy they drafted but it seems like there were maybe 4 consensus "decent" guys burke, oladipo, porter, mclemore (may his career RIP now)...id try to roll with one of those guys if i could get one, especially if i was planning on trying out my PG at 2 before i had to re-sign him..plus burke coming battle tested from the big 10 instead of the SEC would also sway me...
