@GaryLQ I like it. The winning team! #pfa48
Was it really that hard to find me? There were only 119 people left by the end.
Anyway, I broke out to a great start (almost 24k before 4 levels were over -- probably 2nd chip leader), but then struggled for the next 4 levels. Finally caught a rush at the end of Level 8, zipping from 12,600 to 33,800 in a matter of minutes, before finishing with 31,800.
Jon "Pearljammer" Turner was at the table for awhile, and he made a few odd plays, but overall was pretty good. He also ran ridiculously hot. I caught a break when he surprisingly decided against playing A5cc to a 3-bet from his BB (despite 5-betting JJ from the SB earlier), and the Ah2c3c flop would have hit him big, and put a real beatdown on my AQ when the Qc rivered. Instead, I won the hand.
We started with a big fish at our table, as well as a semi-donk. The big fish quickly busted, but not before giving me most of his chips. The semi-donk also busted, but I didn't win much/anything from him. Andre Akkari and Brandon Wong, also originals at our table, busted early. However, the replacements at our table were all solid, and the replacement of one of the busted replacements was also solid. So while it was a table of me, Jon Turner, and 4 no-names, there weren't any really weak spots, and the last several hours were tough.
We return tomorrow at 2pm. I have an above-average stack of 31,800 where average is 21,600. 119 remain, 36 spots pay.
