The oldest poker dealer at the World Series of Poker reportedly died Thursday night while crossing the street in Las Vegas.

Richard Charles Turnbull, 86, who had been dealing poker for 38 years, six of which included stretches at the World Series of Poker, was the victim.

The incident happened near the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Spring Valley Parkway. The vehicle that reportedly struck Turnbull was a 1996 Honda Civic

The cause of the crash is reportedly under investigation by the police.

On Friday, the WSOP held a moment of silence for Turnbull.

“We’re devastated to hear one of the WSOP’s own is no longer with us,” a WSOP spokesperson said in a statement. “Richard Turnbull has been dealing poker for 38 years…Our condolences and prayers go out to his family.”
