Head of Binions/WSOP had named Russ Hamilton a cheater long before UB

This Nolan Dalla has some great poker/LV stories.
This is part of a series on Moneymaker's 2003 win, but he worked for Binions.
He says that Becky Binion's husband, Nick Behnen, was a total gangster & ran the casino behind the scenes w/out a license.
He booted Russ Hamilton for cheating, but never told Nolan how he knew.

Then, there was the infamous “Russ Hamilton incident.” Before anyone else knew he was a scumbag cheater, Russ was a highly-respected member of the poker community...................But Nick somehow uncovered some serious dirt on Russ and vowed to make things as difficult as he could for the former champ........................................He summoned a crowbar from the maintenance department, stormed over to the paneled wall where he Gallery of Champions was hanging, and plucked Hamilton’s portrait right from the walnut. The glass frame, with Russ’ smiling championship pose, was completely shattered into bits. Nick allegedly screamed something like “We won’t have any fucking cheaters on the wall,” and then stormed out of the building.

Yes, he doesn't have the best grammar, (and apparently doesn't care) and his blog is really hard to navigate.
Other than that, I can read the guy all day long.

But all 6 parts are finished.

Other than the late Andy Glazer, nobody does a better poker write-up than Nolan. As far as the grammar; I think he just writes out his blogs and posts them without proofreading them (which I do on my blog "when" I actually post there. If you haven't read his Stu Ungar book you should definitely pick it up
I write things about poker at my Poker Blog and elsewhere on the Internets

I feel like I'm having deja vu. I have read some of these exact same sentences somewhere else. Weird.

Here's his article about getting scammed by Peter Falcone: http://www.nolandalla.com/conned-37500/

I was actually going to re write that. I shouldn't have said that about his grammar,
he says he just doesn't proof read. I read that Stu Ungar book a long time ago, it was great.

So China, here is a link to part 6 of that series, (the last one)
It has links to the previous 5 parts.
I think you read part 2 of 6.

I know haralabob has said that Russ was known as a scumbag in the sports betting world. And when he thought he had been cheated on UB - and heard Russ was behind one of the suspected accts he was 100% sure it was cheating

Amazing that this guy was running a poker site

Speaking of Andy Glazer, I'm pretty convinced that he reported his own suicide on IMDB right before taking his life:

    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1334045/bio

Glazer maintained his own IMDB page (even though his biography was written in third-person format), and most people did not know he even had an IMDB page, as he was known as a writer, not an actor.

The date of death and the suicide cause-of-death appeared on July 4, 2004 (the same day he died), and it's unlikely that anyone close to him would have taken the time to update the IMDB page in such a fashion on his date of death. They would have had a lot more on their mind than that. His death was not reported to the public at that time.

I believe he listed his own death there because he wanted to give the IMDB page some closure, since the page was apparently important to him.

    I read them all

at the end of the last chapter it says this

Moneymaker was suddenly the new star. He would instantly come to represent us all — those of us who had worked for years to put poker on the map as well as those who would soon flock to the game by the millions, inspired by his story and triumph.
The 2003 World Series of Poker was officially over.
But my real work was just beginning and I loved every minute of it.

NEXT CHAPTER: “Our job isn’t over. It’s just beginning.” <--------------------- is this chapter up yet

Amazing. How do you know? Assuming you went there to read it right after you heard he died?
