Nevada approves online poker "compacts" with foreign governments and Indian tribes

Nevada amended their online poker law to allow not just other states to opt in to their system, but also other countries and American Indian tribes.

This will allow virtually any jurisdiction to decide to "opt in" to allowing online poker on their soil, adding to the existing Nevada player pool.

Believe it or not, this concerns me. I am afraid that poorly regulated countries will opt into this, and we will start having all sorts of scandals again.

This is actually a slippery slope if once again the US government lacks the authority to punish cheaters due to their location being abroad.

iam afraid the slope is on our side we control the games.if thiers trouble and we feel a player should be fined then the fine would come out of the countries share of the revanew. then they can collect it from the player or players. we need over seas traffic. just like any tax a player may owe thier country from a big tourny win what a player wins or loses will be reported it then becomes thier job to collect it from the player.like you said they went to fast in opening. this is a very big business and needs to run smooth
