Like me, Phil Ivey wasn't exactly thrilled with his Day 1 of the $1500 Limit Holdem.

He finished with 3900, I finished with 3300. Average is 16k.

However, unlike me, Phil Ivey is pretty much the king of the poker world and can't be bothered with menial tasks such as bagging chips and filling out paperwork.

Now, it would be perfectly acceptable if Phil had this done by a personal assistant.

However, in this case, Phil's "personal assistant" was the floor.

The day ended, and Phil immediately stood up and walked off.

Everyone is supposed to stay, wait for bags to be distributed, put the chips inside, fill out the necessary paperwork, and then leave when this is complete. Phil was out of his seat within moments of the final hand being played, and never looked back.

So what happened to his chips?

The floor ran over, bagged them up, filled out his paperwork, and basically did all of the grunt work for him.

I guess nobody has the guts to tell Ivey to sit the fuck back down and bag his own chips, or to give him a penalty on Day 2 for walking off like that.

Imagine if I (or any other non-famous pro) did something like that. 100% we'd come back to Day 2 with a penalty and a stern lecture.
