Problem is, most people who were really good at online poker also happen to be huge pussies, as evident by the millions they have been scammed for in recent years.

I would like to address (not challenge) Todd's concerns....

I have read his blog post above. Understand. I respect Todd's opinion and I really like renegades in the industry like myself who raise hell (keep rockin Dan Druff). That being said, my association with Lock Poker is a loose association. Ms. Larson asked I not divulge the specifics of our arrangement -- so I will just talk in code. I am an affiliate and I receive a bonus based on my play, if you know what I mean. We have not spoken since, nor do I work for Lock Poker. I am just a regular joe player with a blog. It is a hobby, like a public service to my fellow players.

U.S. players have three options at this time. We seem to agree the Merge network is the best option, especially if you are a tournament grinder -- and based on site traffic. Why Lock Poker? I made that decision based on Eric Lynch. Rizen is a good dude, it is as simple as that. I will however admit, upper management at Lock Poker can be incompetetent at times, but not scammers in my opinion. The Girah scandal? In this industry, it is rare someone admits, "Yes, we messed up". In fact, damage control is pretty standard in this industry, business and politics. I place the blame squarely on the fraud that was Jose Macedo. The casino bonus scandal? This was much worse in my opinion. Do I wish they made good on the bonus? Certainly. If you choose not to play Lock based on these two points -- I absolutely respect your decision. As far as Timmy May goes. I have met Tim. He is not a bad guy, but he was certainly wrong on the staking issue at that jerk site that has banned Todd, Micon and myself. I will clearly explain this to Tim this summer when I see him. I truly think he is simply incompetent when it comes to staking protocols, as opposed to being a pre-meditated scammer looking for a freeroll.

Incompetence does not make a site scammers in my opinion, unless they are paying dividends to investors from players funds or covering up a superuser scandal, orchestrated by upper level management. I stand by Lock Poker at this time as the best option for U.S. players. The payouts are much faster than any Merge skin, and this point is very important to my affiliated players.

However. Since Lock Poker and I became loosely associated, I have suffered from "computer generated variance" if you know what I mean. Trust me, I will "fire" Lock, before they "fire" me.

Why not go with a Merge skin with more accessible upper management and NO known issues at all as far as shady business... Black Chip comes to mind, as does HERO...

Not to get sidetracked but I get almost choked up watching old WSOP on ESPN. What a brilliant time in my life, come and gone so fast. I had no idea at 26 that poker would die out and the homegames I played in daily would come and go. It's like overnight it was there, poker was all I lived for, all I dreamed about, and suddenly I hadn't played in nearly a year and 5 years had gone by since I got excited seeing Phil Hellmuth on tv...I never thought the home games would end, the days of easily finding 2-3 games around the bay area any night of the week *poof* gone, just like that- I would have said you were nuts back then. Fuck I hate getting old, I hate how time slips by. I would give anything to have a home game with richard larry paul david goshe and kid poker. Now richard hates poker and me along with it, larry and paul both have kids and are married, david has been in prison in TJ for 4 years goshe still plays but sporadicly and kid poker gave up and married his new baby momma and looks forward to a life bussing tables apparently. Fuck why do I do this to myself....

I decided to address my blog's Lock sponsorship as fairly as I could, while trying to be respectful of Druff in his own forum. I get one anonymous poster "who knows me" and calls me a fish. Another poster chimes in, pimping the Merge skin he runs his league on, while throwing Hero into the mix to camoflouge his intentions. This is typical of posting forums...

And honestly, this forum offers me nothing I want, or anything I need.
