Tonight on radio I discussed the possibility of playing BOTH 6A and 6B if I were to bust out of 6A during the first 5 levels.
I made an offer on radio to the existing shareholders of Event #6 that I am unfortunately going to have to retract.
The offer was that, if I played 6B (basically a re-entry for Event #6), I would simply count the whole thing as a $3000 buyin instead of a $1500 buyin, and would allow everyone who already had shares for #6 to get half of what I win at 6B for no additional investment.
I came up with this idea during radio, and at first it seemed fair.
After all, it's technically the same event, and if I buy in twice in order to cash, it's fair to just cut everyone's shares in half and pay them out, right?
I thought about it more, and that's actually not a fair way to do it.
This is because, due to the fact that 6A and 6B are separate flights, they should be treated as separate events. Otherwise, I am giving away an additional half of everyone's shares for free, which isn't fair to me.
To understand what I'm talking about, let's go back to the initial shares you bought for #6. If I cash, you get whatever percentage of the shares you bought. For example, if you bought 10 shares, you get 10% of whatever I cash, If I fail to cash, you get zero and there is no makeup of any kind.
My offer on radio tonight was preserving that exact payout method (that is, if I don't bust 6A and cash, you get the same percentage you initially paid for), and if I do bust 6A and then enter 6B at my own expense, instead of getting zero as initially agreed upon, you get a free set of half-value shares, entirely on my dime!
This is what I get for being an idiot and trying to come up with a complicated plan like this on the spot while broadcasting radio.
Anyway, here is the new situation for Event #6, which will be fair to everyone:
1) If you bought event #6, you now need to choose whether you want 6A, 6B, or both.
2) If you choose 6A, you will get paid your full percentage if I cash (as was already the case), but will get nothing if I bust 6A, re-enter through 6B, and end up cashing that way.
3) If you choose 6B, you will have "no action" on this event UNLESS I bust and re-enter at 6B. If I do that, you will get the full percentage of whatever I cash. If I don't play 6B, I will refund your money in full.
4) If you choose BOTH, I will split your shares in half, and spread them evenly between 6A and 6B. So if you had 2 shares in 6 and chose this option, I would change it to 1 share in 6A and 1 share in 6B. If I were to not play 6B, I would send you that portion of it (half) as a refund.
5) If you are NOT happy with this new policy, please let me know and I will refund your money immediately.
6) If you do not choose how you want to use your shares, I will leave them all on 6A by default.
I am now selling 6B shares at $18/each. Only accepting Paypal and bank transfers for this -- no checks.
PM me if interested. 40 6B shares available right now, but keep in mind that you may just get a refund because I might not play 6B, either due to making it deep enough in 6A or simply choosing not to re-enter.
