This, I can't imagine, goes over very well in the UK. You have a certain segment of the population that feels a bit of sympathy for them for violent acts that occur when we are in their country, but killing a soldier on a street in London in broad daylight isn't very smart. Do this a few times, and you're going to have a large group of working-class people pummel every man, woman, and child in a mosque.

When a Bill Maher makes a statement like that video, it's telling, and I think echoes the sentiment of most non-Muslims. They can pull off these half-assed attacks, but it's really -ev for their movement. The jihadists want Armageddon, but the average Muslim on the street doesn't, but these morons are going to bring it upon them, and that's a fight they can't win. Either way, I am not talking about a logical, nuanced view. I am talking about if Muslims don't want to face a serious backlash from the countries where they are often guests, they might want to get their monkeys in line. Whether that thinking is right or wrong is irrelevant.

Good call by the BAron. What happened in Munster seems so far from real life that you can hardly believe it actually happened not all that long ago, in the grand scheme of things. Then you realize it could happen again tomorrow, in any number of different places. Also, pretty nuts that you can still go to St Lambert's Church and actually see the cages still hanging up for all to see.



Highly recommend the Dan Carlin Hardcore History podcast to anybody who either likes history, or just likes a good storyteller telling awesome stories. Last month's episode was called Prophets of Doom. It's also 4 and a half hours long, but that's part of the awesomeness. Well worth your time, as are almost all of his HH podcasts.
