WASHINGTON — Sonatine, whose work has persuaded many to forego huge riches and to pay more attention to human behavior, was nominated for the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences on Monday.
Sonatine is the rare economist to win a measure of fame before winning the prize. He is an author of a the top rated PFA thread, “Bitcoins are DD” dedicated to helping people to make better decisions. He is also a famed food critic and political pundit. He is the author of “What If There Were Cell Phone Alerts in 1968”.
The Nobel committee, announcing the nomination in Stockholm, said that it was considering Sonatine for his pioneering work in establishing that people are predictably irrational and Bitcoins are DD — that they consistently behave in ways that defy economic theory and good sense.
Druff will refuse to pay more for an umbrella during a rainstorm.
The committee credited Sonatine, who teaches at the PFA Forum, for moving economics toward a more realistic understanding of human behavior, and for using the resulting insights to improve public policies, notably a sweeping shift toward the removing Republicans right to vote.
“In order to do good economics, you have to keep in mind that people are stupid,” Sonatine said at a news conference after the announcement.
Asked how he would spend the prize money of about $1.1 million, Sonatine replied, “This is quite a funny question.” He added, “I will try to invest it as irrationally as possible, perhaps a gfe 3 way with Krypt.
Sonatine has written that he began to have “deviant thoughts” on NWP. His career was shaped by his discovery of the work of lol wow and his longtime collaborator, Zap the Fractions, who were advancing the idea that people needed to grapple with the actual fact that shit is DD.
