Let's assume for a minute Dan didn't know that the advertising wasn't for all magazines then this just proves Dan was negligent in reading what he was buying in the first place.
If I'm not mistaken, exchanges were cut with Card Player, Poker Pro, Canadian Poker Pro, Pokerisivut, 944 Magazine, SEVEN, and Poker Player mag. Such complementary ad and/or editorial deals are possible when a team of young guns, Playboy models, and players riding on recent successes suddenly break into the online industry. They were news at the time, and an easy sell. I sincerely doubt Victory had a contract to pay for anything other than BLUFF.

I was going to keep my mouth shut, and did for a couple years after Black Friday, working for a little company in Costa Rica, fading into the sunset, eventually settling down and getting married. However, on my return to Las Vegas from complete obscurity, I reached out to Dan, the Maven, and "staff." I hadn't been following the forums, blogs, or much of anything about poker or the industry. It was strange. Seemed Dan was ignoring me. Even more strange, his little posse was downright hostile. The Maven and I had dinner a couple of times. Also a newlywed (I believe) he seems to be doing very well. I let the whole Victory thing slide, certain whatever was bothering them had nothing to do with me. After a few cold encounters, I began to do some digging, and discovered that Dan and his "staff" had publicly thrown me under the bus for misappropriation of funds. For the record, I managed Victory deals, solicited media, and coordinated charity events for a salary or fee. I got paid for two months of the six I was employed. Dan, on the other hand, controlled all Victory investor and player funds (more than $1 Mil). I have to say, it was tough watching the boys and models live like rock stars while I struggled to pay the mortgage.

Dan Fleyshman is one of those guys NOBODY seems to have a nice thing to say about. Wasn't there some heads up with Sarah Underwood thing where he tried to stiff the guy that won the promotion or something?

WTF is it with these poker operators that just think every dollar deposited belongs to them?

BUMP: Dan Fleyshman somehow tabbed to reboot Ivey Poker in 2015.

Ivey Poker closed a short time ago, after it failed to catch on, or even really define itself: http://f5poker.com/poker-news/2014/1...iatus-bye-now/

Wasnt Victory Poker a fail under his leadership or did that have more to do with Black Friday? Everytime I see his name it is always next to " “youngest founder of a publicly traded company in history." He obviously does this on purpose, but I have never heard what company this actually was. I mean you could start a company, get issued stock worth pennies, and call that a publicly traded company.

Pretty much this. Horrible timing, spent way too much money on frivolous marketing expenditures (like $25K for that martini-glass Victory Poker logo), and had way too many friends of Russ H. as party-going hangers-on at parties and such.

I dont get what Dan has actually done to make money.

    http://www.linkedin.com/in/victoryceo

It seems like a lot of consulting. The only thing he claims to have started or owned is this "Whos your Daddy" energy drink but when you go to the Wiki page it has someone else listed as CEO even though Dan claims to be CEO: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q...r+daddy+energy

lol and just as I suspected on the same wiki page:

"Who's Your Daddy? Inc. is a publicly traded company traded on the Over-the-Counter (OTC) Bulletin Board (BB) under the ticker symbol WYDI. Web articles mention that this company changed its name to FITT Highway Products, Inc."

It looks as if he is the youngest founder of a company traded on the Pink Sheets. No wonder he never mentions that, as this is as much of an accomplishment as a seven year old having the largest lemonade stand on the block. It also looks as if the whole stock scheme was a pump and dump deal too.

I know people who invested in his company. It was a huge fail. The guy is all hat, no cattle. Talks a big game but never delivers.

First VictoryPoker was in the Everleaf Network, right?

Dan Bilzerian was co-founder of Victory Poker, interesting.

Other guys involved were Esfandiari, Robl and even Nick Rainey.

    And some Bunnies!
