FYI: Was watching bbc news and they carried a 5 minute segment extolling bitcoin virtues. Among other things, they stated (and I'm paraphrasing) that "..big business is becoming interested..." They also talked about how well the bitcoin s/w was developed. A very glowing report. Looks like the coin is becoming legitimate, and beginning to be used by a number of businesses. I wish they had a link to to this specific report, but couldn't find one. However, the following bbc link does show they have done a number of segments on it:
