Took a Road Trip to "Woodbury" (Walking Dead) on the way to Florida

Someone I know moved to Florida so I took a road trip and drove their car down there for them. Instead of taking I95 which is a shitty ride I took the less shitty ride into the country through PENN/WV/VIRGINIA/NC/SC then Florida

left on a Friday night and sat in 2 hrs traffic in Mass which sucked. Drove through New York City and when I got deep into Jersey I stayed the night. Then hit the road the next day and drove through Pennsylvania. Drove through quaker country which was nothing but farms, green grass and people with weird Dutch/Penn accents that I have never heard. Almost stopped in Gettysburg as I was close but kept trucking. Drove through Allentown which Billy Joel made famous

Next up was Maryland for about 10 minutes and there was nothing good to report there and then West Virginia. I stopped for gas in West Virginia and went the opposite way of the gas signs. My GPS re routed me down some back road and on a residential type road which went like this

house then strip club house then strip club house then strip club and this happened for 5 houses and 5 strip clubs. The weird thing is there is no way any of these strip clubs could seat more than 10 people.

Next on to Virginia which had some awesome views of some mountains. Then onto North Carolina which was easily the best looking state in terms of landscaping. Randomly stopped in Mooresville NC to stay the night and it was filled with all kinds of nascar fans and nascar shit. I checked their wiki and it was where the N.C. racing hall of fame is and I think most nascar teams have their home bases there. It was a cool little town with a lot of shit to do. Once we hit NC there was a waffle house or Bojangles at every exit. Seriously just about every exit had one of these and also chick fil a everywhere.

Anyhow Moorseville NC had some famous people living there or had lived there

Julius Peppers – Defensive end formerly of the Carolina Panthers and currently with the Chicago Bears
    Reed Sorenson – NASCAR driver
    Greg Biffle – NASCAR driver
    Joe Nemechek – NASCAR driver
    Kasey Kahne – NASCAR driver
    Casey Kasem
Kerry Earnhardt – retired NASCAR driver
    Kyle Busch – NASCAR driver

Olindo Mare – Kicker for the Carolina Panthers
    Will Power - INDYCAR driver
Ryan and Nicole Briscoe—INDYCAR driver and ESPN journalist wife
    Selma Burke - Sculptor/Artist

Next up was South Carolina. For anyone familiar with the peach in House of Cards I caught that while driving on the highway thru gafney.

Will start typing up Woodbury next

next was off to Atlanta and we just cruised through. The goal was to get to Senoia Georgia which is where most of The Walking Dead is filmed. Senoia is a little country town about 30-40 miles South of Atlanta and when we pulled up it was fucked up because the towns center is basically a movie set.

It sucked cause it was raining but every road around senoia and a lot of this part of Georgia looked like this and any of these roads could be any scene

This is where Merle (GOD) had his last drink

This was in Senoia center (Woodbury) and it was all Hollywood. They basically built up this wall to make it look like a building

    Woodbury

    more Woodbury in a few

At the end of the road where that restaurant is you will find raleigh studios which is where the prison is

Prison is set behind these gates

that's about it, we found the farm but could not access the road to drive in. Chains, no trespassing etc... and it was set in a residential neighborhood.

After that hit up treasure Island in st pete for a few nights, then fort myers for a few nights and took a day trip through the everyglades over to Boca and checked out Delray beach which had some sick waves and nice water and then flew to AC for a night and drove home.

BTW 35 fucking dollars in tolls going from AC to get through NYC

Glad you enjoyed my home state of NC. It would really be a great place to live if all of the racists and homophobes would leave/die.

Bojangles are splattered all over the state. Used to be my go to fast food when I wasn't vegetarian; sausage egg and cheese biscuit, seasoned fries and Cheerwine.

Please don't China, especially since you can at least pull off the bald look.

Also, do you get cold easily?

if it is freezing outside and the wind is blowing hard then yes but I think anyone would be cold under those circumstances. If it is cold I wear a winter hat. Don't have to worry about that now cause it is 70 and sunny

actually the bigger problem is the sun. If I don't wear sunblock there is nothing worse than a fried head
