Apparently he suffered from depression and anxiety problems throughout his life, and those combined with Black Friday eventually sent him over the edge.
He shot himself in his car in Las Vegas on April 23.

I read about this the other day. It's LOL for anyone to blame "Black Friday" as a reason for someone to take their life as his father claims when he has depression and other issues making him mentally unstable.
He moves to Canada for a bit to continue to play but then couldn't hack it for whatever reason so he moves back. He comes to Vegas and then shoots himself in a hotel room.
Their is a long thread on 2+2 about it and people who knew he said he was a nice guy. Well that might be so but if he had important people in his life he still didn't feel worthy of living anymore for whatever it might be. Even if he never discovered online poker their is a great chance that something in life would of triggered him to take him to commit suicide.

I just don't see how you draw a line to connect these dots. He was obviously unstable & anything could have triggered this.
I guess if the family needs to blame something so they can make sense of it & help with their grief then have at it.

A lot of people played 40-60 (or more) hours a week and they didn't blast themselves. The option to move is always their and he tried it but I guess Canada wasn't for him.
