I voted foreign but only because I always find it hard to believe that somebody would do sometime this horrific in their own society to supposedly make a point.

Domestic, probably a local nutter with a grudge against the city.

Foreign, Boston Mass is a huge University populous, with the kid they still are calling a person of interest still being that, makes me think its a foreign terrorist who fanagled there way through our borders, surprisingly easy. Possibly through "going to college".
Even if that one person turns out to be somebody, this was way too sophisticated and coordinated to be 1 person and not well-funded.
The nuts will be when this unfolds, if bitcoins were ever used to move money undetected across the border.
