Bet the UNDER for total Miami Heat losses in Eastern Conf. Playoffs (+125)

Bet UNDER 3.5 losses for the Heat in the ECP

They won't lose in the first round.

The Bulls/Celtics/Pacers might steal a game in a seven game series.

The Knicks cannot keep up their current pace, best they can hope for is a six-game series. Melo will cool off and HEat will go all HAM on those clowns.

Unless they rest starters in the playoffs, I think there's decent value here.

    This. What is the line?

This is a good bet because they could also lose their first round series, then they'd only lose 4 games in the playoffs.

3 losses in 3 series, seems about right.

Maybe tiny value but not much.

They could easily fall asleep (or get bored) up big in any of the series, and push the losses over 4.

It's 4 series assuming they make the finals. Betting on fewer than 1 loss per series is foolish. Even the 72-10 Bulls in '98 lost at least 5 games that I can recall, 3 to Indiana in the Conference Finals and 2 to Utah in the Finals, probably lost 1 or 2 in earlier rounds too. At 3.5, bet the over and laugh all the way to the bank.

You must be unfamiliar with the Eastern Conference. Your comment suggests that the Finals games are included; the bet is just for the East.

I just think that this team wants to make its mark in history. They busted their ass throughout that 27-game streak, constantly fighting back when they could have just caved when down 20+ a few times and offensively they're on another level.

The Knicks are a good team but will not take more than 2 against Miami. Carmelo and J.R. will cool off.

I think they lose maximum one game in the first two rounds.

It would be a feat to match the 'fo-fo-fo' 1983 76ers. I don't think they will but who knows.

    **Now at +130

My mistake I thought it was all playoffs. Just the Eastern Conference... I still think the over but I've been wrong plenty of times.

I would actually take the over. Someone is going to get injured and they are going to struggle more than you would think.

I still like it as long as Lebron stays healthy. I rarely bet futures but always splash a bit on the NBA playoffs with moderate success.

I'm no longer happy about my OKC-Miami finals bet at +225. The West is going to be a bloodbath with five legit contenders in SA, OKC, MEM, DEN and LAC.

Honestly I wouldn't even completely write off the Lakers after seeing Pau and Dwight play last night. Kobe is playing at a crazy level and as long as they score with good play from the bigs they are competitive.

I was never a fan of the finals being a repeat of OKC-Miami. I can conceed Miami being a huge fave to make it to the finals, but you're right about the West.

The Lakers have been playing a LOT better than before but they are still missing the outside shot presence. Kobe playing amazing, Gasol/Howard finally figuring it out...but who is going to step up and shoot 45% from 3? I think in the off season that's what they need to address.

Also the odd thing is they play much better with 1 of their stars out. Whether it's Nash or Gasol they just seem to play better with 1 out.

I would love to see the Lakers shock everyone, but they are just terrible against good teams.

They have been very good this season against lousy and mediocre teams, but have just gotten pounded by the top teams in the league.

    0-2 vs Miami
    1-3 vs OKC
    0-4 vs Clippers
    1-2 vs Memphis
    0-2 vs San Antonio
    1-3 vs Denver

That's a record of 3-16 against the top 6 teams in the NBA.

They're 39-21 against everyone else in the NBA.

just my two cents but I cant see the Heat going 4-1 in 3 series on avg. in order to even feel remotely comfortable betting the under they would nearly FOR SURE have to sweep that first round. I could EASILY see the Bulls or the Nets winning games against the Heat in the second round especially at home and of course either the Knicks or Celtics would do the same.

Just not a lot of under value IMO at 3.5 I would gladly take the over.......... maybe 4.5 I would grab the under in the -250 range banking on a 1st round sweep. Then again that's not value just a more reasonable expectation of winning

I know the Lakers have been crap and was just going by what I saw last night.

It was the first game in months where I saw Gasol and Howard both play well along with Kobe going off (I think he ended with 47) Also, Kobe's been playing 46-48 minutes per game for the last few weeks. He's either superhuman or discovered the fountain of youth through some HGH, blood spinning cocktail.

I certainly don't think the Lakers will advance but just can't write off a team with Kobe, Dwight and Pau. Their only chance to win in the playoffs is to average like 120 a game, as they can't stop point guard play.

But yeah, my Miami-OKC bet looks bad now. At the time I thought OKC's only competition would be the Spurs and only if they were healthy.

I am very surprised no has given love to Golden State yet. Denver lost Gallinari and is beatable. Golden State is a team poised to make some noise. As young as they are, it could be this year. The last 3 spots, with which the last 2 will play OKC and S.A will be,

    Golden State
    Houston
    Los Angeles

Of them 3 the teams most likely to draw SA/OKC, Golden State is the most formidable opponent. Golden State could not only win 1 game vs. both, but could shock people and win the whole series. They are young, and really have nothing to lose. They would be better served getting SA imo, but either way, do not sleep on the Warriors.
