Kaufman, Texas (CNN) -- A Texas community is on edge after a district attorney who said he would put away the "scum" who killed a colleague two months ago was shot to death alongside his wife in his home Saturday night.

Texas is an enormous state and quite diverse. I've never heard of Kaufman, but apparently it's a small city on the outskirts of Dallas. Kind of a poor area, large hispanic demographic.
It's pretty obvious to me WTF is going on there. Someone had been, or was about to be, prosecuted by the DA's office. Easy solution, just kill the DA and his assistant!
