Misdemeanors, I made mistakes but you should know nothing was felony and this is battery/resisting arrest.

Unfortunately when you get arrested in FL even if the charges get dropped later they have a unique law in the U.S that allows these to be released. You see this is a scam, this company under the name of "mugshots.com" because they figured out via the FL law they have access to this can post them. They want $800 per file (Costa Rican company run by ex con) to have each removed.

Its crazy this is even legal. Yes I made mistakes, had issues. These were misdemeanors not felonys.

This is legal (atm) blackmail making them public like that via FL unique law.

This is a big reason I was very pissed they used that underhanded method to get my real name. I knew this was out there and know most wouldn't get it.

I have to deal with this everyday, I didn't need the help of what happened with that site posting all my crap years after I even last played online poker.

*Obviously not my most flattering picture that second one

This is the reason these are even available, notice it is only from particular states. So yes, people you know or are related to could have the same misdemeanor charges as me just in different state, so by law, they couldn't blackmail them people like this to pay them. They are protected, getting arrested even for misdemeanors in Florida, will ruin some peoples earning potential for life. Some of it is a shame that it is even legal.

This article is about this scumbag "blood sucking leech" as Druff put it last night that is behind these sites, and why some people mugshots you will find, and others you won't. It's simply what state you got arrested in, if its a state with one of these laws that makes this legal (FL being 1, there is not many) you will find your pics blackmailing you for profit. Florida very well may be the only State, but definately is #1 for this practice. Yes, even when the charges were dropped and never pursued, just arrested by a cop and put through the process, these will pop up. Even when the State never pursues the charges like 1 year ago for me, still they are blackmailing me to have these taken down.

This guy who runs this is total scum with no boundaries. And yes I made mistakes, and understand that. To the casual observer unfortunately, they would assume it is all felony stuff, when it is not, its a blood sucking ex-con running this legal amazingly scam from Costa Rica. Sounds like a legitimate business doesn't it. This practice is severely damaging especially the misdemeanor people who end up with these all over the internet. It makes getting a job so hard.

This has really hurt me and I am sure many others. Yes people make mistakes, but all do not turn into a lifetime criminal. This seriously damages me to be honest, and has been really hard to avoid. Mainly why I was so pissed about my real name getting out via some scumbags here. Its more clicks on this idiots sites, and more dirt piled on me, all of which is nothing new and from years ago which was already out there.

This is an article about the "business" behind mugshots.com, and the other sites alike (run by an ex con of course from Costa Rica, sounds real legitimate doesn't it).

In my opinion, misdemeanors do not belong on here at all. Unless they agravated, or predatory in nature. It should be left to serious crimes like Felonys, predators etc. As it is today, they love it because they have access to huge number of misdemeanor files (Tons more $ to blackmail for).

Hey Garrett , I gotta say thank you for sharing that article , last week I was bored and decided to Googled my name and found my mug shots when I lived in Florida. One of my arrests was a felony , I admit I used to smoke weed and last time I was arrested when I lived down there , my buddy and I got pulled over on 95 and I got caught holding over 20 grams and in Florida it is a felony. My mugshots where posted by mugshots.com. I was shocked that it was so easy to find stuff that's on the web on myself. I even used my mugshot on a Merge site I play on..lol
I agree with you everyone has done things that your not too proud of , don't let who ever posted this get ya down...but thank you very much for sharing that article..If anyone finds my mugshots , please don't post them here ..that's just wrong in my opinion...I'm just sayin'

    You're welcome.

It doesn't make anything easier, that is for damn sure, whether it was here or not, it is all out there. So long as the person you are searching was arrested in a State with this law. Apparently the more I dig into it, seems like it is only Florida.

I do know Dayton Beach Poker Room, and have played there. It is far though, and the gas RT with it not being a casino makes the risk/reward suck basically. Melbournes a trap, and the Seminoles I won't let rob me. Needless to say I miss the dirty jersey so bad.

Good to hear your story. I have been running real bad past 5 years lol. The law in Florida is bad news. I honestly felt bad for some of the younger guys I met through this whole stink. They don't stand a chance in Florida. 18 years old many of them are addicts, but in FL they are turning them into felons with the quickness. I was amazed. Just thinking to myself, my god, this kids 18 and they are going to hit him with that.

In N.J where I am from, the system works with them kids, at least for a sometime. Florida it is ruthless. Little did some of these "thugs" realize, they life was changed that day just for copping the plea to get out of jail and hang with their "homies". Was not my place to say anything but I was quite amazed the line the Prosecutors office was taking here, especially when most these kids were being defended by a Public Pretender. They stood no shot. Hope you got that crap behind you now, because Florida will come get you. 100% especially for Felonys. This guy told me a story where they rode him from Ohio, to Buffalo N.Y, down to S.C, to Fl, with 3 stops. Apparently he sat in the back of a cramped van for 7 days. Florida is insane with the law. Not surprising when they have no State income tax, are non-union and pretty much awful in every way of life.

Before I forget, welcome to the jungle my friend.

I am guessing you will now be considered a garrett dupe, so gl with that =)

Florida is a harsh State , the 60 days I spent in Volusia County on my last charge there I heard all kinds of horror stories bout how people got arrested and never got convicted , but then the state decides it needs to make more convictions to meet their quotas and they bring charges back up put warrants on people in hopes to bring them in so they can meet their quotas. Funny story (kind of) , a friend of mine from Illinois was in the same processing block as me my first 8 or 9 days I was in jail there. He told me he got pulled over in Illinois for not making a proper stop at a stop sign , and the cop told him there was a warrant for his arrest in Florida from when he was there on vacation a few years prior got caught with a small amount of weed and he came back home before his court date and thought he'd never hear about it. Sure enough Florida transported him back down there and he ended up having to do 180 days. He said that was the worst 7 days of his life cause they picked up a total of 11 people in 6 different states. The transporting officers would stop at a McDonalds and go in and eat come out with 1 hamburger and 1 bottle of water for each prisoner throw it in the back and tell them to enjoy , they only did that for them 2 times each day for lunch and supper. He said one guy that was in his 70's(at least) had a pace maker and thought he was going to kill over on a couple occasions but the officers said tough s&*t to the guy and told him to man up, when my buddy and other prisoners told the officers that he wasn't looking good.
Florida is the only state that I know of that will transport people back to their state no matter where your at even if you live in Alaska and you get in trouble in Florida and go to court and think everything is fine everything is closed it don't matter they will bring the charges back up and put you through their system again. So beware if you go on vacation there not to get into any trouble even if it's just a drunk and disorderly cause they might be coming for you.Totally ridiculous!!

The Volusia County Inmate Motto is "Come here on vacation , leave on probation , get brought back on violation"

Since my last arrest I hope to never ever see Florida again...I got all my body parts crossed on that wish...lol.....My old boss has been trying to get me to come back for the last 3 years , but I told him not even a cold day in H E double hockey sticks, even if I spend the rest of my life working dead end jobs..lol
