Slideshows are the worst, and BleacherReport is the worst, so I can't even think how bad bleacherreport slide shows are. I avoid that place like the worthless content-spewing SEO-monster it is.
Since we're sharing things here, I gotta recommend my new podcast obsession for the last few weeks. The Hardcore History Podcast is the absolute balls. I cannot recommend this thing enough. A lot of episodes are around 90 minutes, but some go 2 hours, and one of them even went for 6 hours. The guy's name is Dan Carlin, and he also has a podcast called Common Sense about more current shit like politics and whatever, but I haven't got to those yet. People of any background should be able to get into the history ones, though. He asks questions you've never thought about before, and makes you look at some big historical events that either don't get the attention they deserve, or just attacks things you've heard before from a different perspective. Hard to explain, but if you listen to even part of one episode, you'll know whether you like it or not pretty fast. He only does 1 episode every few months, but he's been at this since '05, so there's a good amount of stuff to catch up on. The most recent shows, 15 of them, are free, the archives are like a buck or 2 an episode. I've already bought the compilations and extra eps.

Every episode is awesome. Logical Insanity or the episode on Magellan are good stand-alone episodes to start with. The 2 series on the Mongols and the fall of the Roman Empire are pretty much audiobooks, 10-12 hours in total for each series.
Oh, I almost forgot. Shoutout to Rolling Stone for their top 500 lists. Clicking "next" 499 times for 3 sentences of content per page makes for a rad user experience.

Less than 48 hours after his first taste of freedom in two decades, David Ranta suffered a serious heart attack and had to be rushed to the hospital, his lawyer said Saturday.
Ranta, 58, was freed Thursday after serving 23 years for a murder he did not commit — and Friday night was admitted to a New York hospital in the grip of a crushing heart attack, lawyer Pierre Sussman told the Daily News.
Ranta survived the attack but is being kept in the hospital for further procedures, according to his lawyer.
Thursday was an overwhelming day for the father of three, who walked out of a courtroom and into the loving arms of family members — some of whom were children when he last hugged them.
"Right now, I feel like I'm under water, swimming,” he told reporters who crowded around him and his 11 family members.
His sister, Beverly Rivera, told the Daily News on Friday that her brother was adjusting to life on the outside.

-An exceptional number of Europeans seem to have dash cams.
-If you live in Asia, you have a 1-3 chance during your lifetime of having your head crushed by a truck in the middle of the street.
-What is going on in Syria right now is very fucked up.
-Mexican cartels are the most brutally violent group in the world right now. Particularly Los Zetas.
-Lots of people still seem to think that setting themselves on fire is a good way to get your point across. It's not.
