Check out this video that has all the lemmings splooging in their drawers...
Obv fake.
Still though, have to think this isn't all that far off in the future, which is pretty bad ass.

Pretty funny watching all the people on FB swear this is real.
just the profile for the user who released the video on youtube should put that debate to rest.
also, honestly, you cant argue a non-engineer into understanding the sheer impossibility of implementing those moving parts/mechanics into a commercially viable cell phone.

I almost bought a phone projector that i saw at Brookstone, it was like $300 and made a 6' picture that was pretty bright for a device that fit in your pocket. Not far fetched but the battery use would be an issue.
Having had a projector/92" screen in my former house (Ex-wife now owns, sfo), you better have a strong LUMENS rating for that phone to make it worthwhile. You would have to be working in a pitch black room to make it effective.
I could see this phone feature existing, since I guess that its possible that the phone already contains necessary components that would exist in those portable projectors anyway.
In 10 years you won't be able to buy anything with a light bulb. LED is the future. Once there's LED projection this might be a possibility.

Also Samsung already has a phone similar to this on the market.
