Well like w/money maker, he "parlayed" $ 39 into a WSOP championship and Raymer parlayed $ 160 into his, but I seriously doubt that was the only satellites they did those years, or if it was, like that they wouldn't have done another one if they had lost those.
But it sounds good on TV. In fact I just read Raymer had been playing as far back as 96, so he might have ended up paying his way in.
So I'd say like those are more myth's for Norm and ESPN, I doubt Prelad just put down 50 on something and got back 50k, but he definitely did something huge one weekend that might have started w/ a $ 50 satellite.
I'd have let her run that as many times as she wanted too, W/ a 90 % win rate, you got to figure the worst you'd do is win 2 out of 3. Where if she hit the 1st one, that would sting if she lost the 2nd 2.
any poker player could put a story on how a certain small amount of money was the random start to make millions, phil laak is just an annoying douchebag. Do not invite him to ur poker shows, bad for business.
Prahlad likely turned that $7 million into $0 or close to it, or otherwise he wouldn't have accepted that position with UB in 2010.
Prahlad was always an outspoken liberal, anti-corporate guy. He HATED corporations and the corruption that sometimes accompanies them, so much to the point that he refused various sponsorships during the poker boom, even from sites that had no record of dishonesty or shadiness.
Believe me, I'm sure it killed him a little inside to have to set aside this long-held philosophy to become the face of one of the most corrupt corporations ever, but it killed him even more to think of being broke.
He really did prove himself to be the ULTIMATE hypocrite, limousine liberal.
He was pretty much the left-wing equivalent of the raging homophobe Republican politician who turns out to actually be gay.
in other news, selbst losing money is always fantastic.

He was part of the New UB!
Vanessa: Do you understand why I did this?
Antonio: Honestly I don't know why you did that (laughs)

honestly tho its the best known secret in professional poker.
thanks to endorsements its absolutely +ev to overplay any two in any position in a televised event. you go broke 99 times out of 100 but that 100th time, when you ride that heater, the endorsements nudge you out of the red and into the black.
not so much any more of course but up until everyone went broke online, that was some arcane science right there.

For serious, I occasionally think about this song and still remember some of "hat guy"'s epic verse.
I wonder what hat guy is up to these days.Progressive collective, realize the objective,
Mind's ressurected, soul's connected.
Light reflected. Soul's connected.
We are ressurected.
Progressive collective.
Following the directive.
Highly introspective.
I expand my perspective.
Something someting... is this cost effective?
Sometimes when I've been drinking, I think it might be funny to take out a Craigslist ad and see if any local rappers want exposure on my YouTube channel. It would probably turn out similar to this. It doesn't seem as funny after I sober up.
