Not that familiar with either place but u must not know Druff well. He went there cuz it was a Caesars property and he gets comps from all his Vegas play. If he went to Pala which I dont think is Caesars, he would have to pay for everything. We all know he is way too fucking Jewish to ever do that.

I do think its kinda funny that when Druff makes one of his famous customer service posts there are a lot of ppl who jump his shit. I dunno, call me crazy but I kinda can relate to all of what he writes. Diff is that I just walk away and feel pissed where Druff makes a federal case out of it. But I mean u cant really argue that this place fucked him and that subway should put his tomatoes on the side etc etc etc. Maybe u dont like how worked up he gets but his points are right on IMO.

if he ever stays at rincon again, all he needs to do is swing by pala, get a players card and then gamble a hundie (max bet slots are the best for this), and he will get free rooms for life. pala is ridic generous with comps. it is also the nighest casino hotel in that area.

btw - druff, pro tip if you stay at rincon...check out the lazy h ranch. place has an awesome steakhouse, really cool dining room, it's almost always empty so you and your group get the place to yourselves, and it is only about a mile from harrahs. there's a great bbq place a few miles from rincon but the name escapes me at the moment.

and yeah i spend waaaaay too much at the san diego area casinos.

Pala was the first place where I played blackjack in California. Back then (in 2001), there was only a casino, no hotel.

I remember trying to drive home from there and getting so tired that I had to pull off in a mini mall and sleep in my car, which freaked me out because I had a lot of cash on me.

I have never stayed in their hotel. I passed it on the way to Rincon.

Maybe I will check out the Lazy H ranch next time, even though I won't be able to pay for my meals with comp dollars or RCs. Once in awhile I can forget I'm Jewish.

    Thanks for the info.

yep. sure it was "free", but the only reason it was free is because he spent time and money at other Caesars properties. plus the whole having to change his schedule to get a 90 min massage and then getting gipped in the end had to be annoying.

I don't mind people disagreeing with me, but I just hate when I read condescending statements like, "You don't know how real life works" or other BS like that.

Part of the reason so many new service-oriented businesses fail is because people have no idea how to retain business and provide good customer service. Often new business owners think they are kings of their castles, and believe the unwashed masses need to kiss their ass, rather than the other way around.

If your business causes customers a bad experience, they won't come back. Most won't complain or make a stink about it like I do. They just won't return. Multiply this by several occurrences, and you end up closing your doors. So, sure, you can "laugh" with your employees at the customers who complain, but the former customers will be the ones laughing when the "OUT OF BUSINESS" sign is on the front door.

Are you a regular with the therapists you go to?
I certainly am & having been going to the same lady for the last 10 years.

Hard to believe there has yet to be a "happy ending" reference. I'm very disappointed in everyone.

    Druff,

What most of us find strange is your need to "get even." Most of us are ok getting crappy customer service, never going back to that place, and letting it fail if it happens enough times. But we feel no compelling need to try to recoup our equity or punish the people involved.

Lol Druff, people scamming you is the best part of my day. Hate to say this, but it should happen more often (for my own entertainment, of course).

If you stop sending me invites to terrible Facebook games, I will try to get scammed more often and write it up here.

    Good question.

I have a desire to "get even" when any of the following occurs:

    1) The person at the company uses their job to punish me in some way. This includes leaving me on "endless hold", hanging up on me on purpose, messing with my account, etc.

    2) The person is outright rude and combative with me. For example, one time when I asked for a credit for a major DVR malfunction, a Verizon rep told me, "It seems to me that you keep asking for credits because you are having a hard time affording the price of your service. Let's discuss some cheaper plans that you can better afford."

    3) The person obnoxiously refuses to do their job, thus causing me a lot of time and/or inconvenience. For example, I once had a cable technician dispatched to fix a problem with my service. After running one bullshit test for about 5 minutes, he claimed it was a problem in my house's wiring and refused to do anything further. He was incorrect and I offered to prove it, but he told me he wasn't interested in listening to me or testing anything more, walked out the door in the middle of my sentence and told me to hire someone to fix my house's wiring. I had waited all day for him to show up, and this is what I got. Obviously I wasn't going to just make another appointment and let this slide. (Turned out I was 100% right and the problem was with their equipment, btw.)

    4) There is some sort of scam, shadiness, or fraud involved, especially if it's a corporate establishment that would never want to tolerate such behavior from its employees.

    5) A franchise owner is using a trusted brand name but providing very substandard service. I usually report this for the good of future customers, so they don't get duped into going there, believing they will be having the same experience that they are used to with that brand.

In this case, only #4 applied, but it was enough to want some consequences for those that did this. I should be able to trust a spa at a Caesar's property to give me a scam-free massage. That isn't asking for too much.

I typically DON'T try to get anyone in trouble for any of the following:

    - Human mistakes

    - General incompetence despite well-meaning intentions to do their job

    - Unfriendly, surly service (as long as it's not outright rude)

    - Small deviations from expected service. For example, if I got shorted by 5 minutes instead of 15-20, I wouldn't have said a thing here.

I'm sure that after you explained your jew-ness, they dropped it and gave you the credit.

    Cliffs........ Druff got rub-rolled.

Also, 30 minutes of massage is good enough, IMO.

I had a 30 minute massage on the beach one time in Punta Cana, and I found it was way too long between cocktails.

I think it depends what type of massage you get.

I don't like massages with a lot of pressure. They are uncomfortable, and in fact I find that they do more harm than good. I'm talking about me personally, not everyone. I usually prefer a light-pressure massage, with added pressure only in areas I'm having problems, such as my back. I think those are a lot more pleasant to have for long periods of time, as opposed to super-hard ones where they are really going to work on you.

This is what I love about Druff. When this kind of stuff happens to me I end up being pissed off, but in the end I am too lazy to put in the time and effort to make whoever responsible pay for it. I get some satisfaction from knowing there is at least one person out there who makes sure that there are consequences and repercussions for shitty customer service.

I second this, I have to give Druff credit for his tenaciousness in these spots. It can be exhausting to follow through in many of these situations and many times I don't take the time or energy to do so. I wish there were more like Druff out there for all of our good.

    Cool

The blackjack is pretty good at both harrahs rincon and Pala ( better than pechanga). The NL players are beyond retarded. You got a free massage for only 60 minute? # first world problems....
