This article mentions that she meets the standards that the Olympic Committee has for trans athletes. What standards are these? Testing hormone levels? Is this something that can be circumvented?
Fox says that any advantage she has from being born a man has been erased over the years with all her treatments. This isn't something I would just take her word on. I also wouldn't put much stock into anyone's legal gender status for this sort of thing.
Call me a bigot, but I also feel uneasy about the prospect of born men entering women's competitions, especially combat sports.

If Mitrione had said "I don't think male to female transsexuals should be allowed in the UFC", that would be expressing his opinion, and he would still be under contract.
What he actually said was ""I have not seen a man beat a woman like that since Chris Brown beat Rihanna...That is a lying, sick, sociopathic, disgusting freak...You should be embarrassed yourself."
Personally, I think he should have been suspended just for saying "You should be embarrassed yourself".

Consider the timeline.... The gender reassignment surgery was in 2006, MMA training followed, first professional fight was in 2012 (kicked a female fighter's ass in the first round), second professional fight was March 2, 2013 (kicked a female fighter's ass in first 39 seconds of the fight), admitted to being born male on March 5, 2013.
It's fucked up. Male-to-female transgendered athletes participating in women's athletics is unfair to female athletes as a whole. All the more unfair in individual sports. All the more fucked up when that sport is to try to physically beat up one's opponent.
She has absolutely no business fighting women, she has a mans bone structure, a mans joints, the list goes on.
And apparently Matt Mitrione wasnt describing transgender people as sick and vile and disgusting and sociopathic, he was describing the mind of any man who would change his gender then beat women down.

Until someone can turn xy into xx, the very thought of calling anything transgendered is like putting drapes up in a cave; it's just window dressing. Only way to be fair about anything like this is to not let people re-define what male or female is on a purely visual level, but to do it at least at the chromosome level. Then they would only have to worry about oddball pairs and then that should be up to the governing body to decide, not a huckster like Dana.
