    California betting ring sentenced

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/l...807-story.html I just have three questions: 1) I know that there was no hint of violence in Micon's case, but how was he so incredibly lucky to basically skate given the brazen in-your-face nature of his crime? 2) Norway? 3) Do you really want to have an outstanding debt to an organization known as Macho Sports? The name does not suggest understanding and forgiveness.

I'm know the basics of micons case just from listening to druff talk about it on radio. I didn't read the threads or read the court documents etc.
Micon had Daniel Chesnoff as his attorney who is the best possible choice for a case like micons. Chesnoff has dealt with several cases involving "gambling rings"
Chesnoff has represented a bunch of A list stars like Britney Spears, Martha Stewart, and Mike Tyson. You can check out his wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Chesnoff to see a bunch of celebrities that hes worked for.

Reading articles like this aggravate me, but at the same time they make me laugh because the media always try's to make everything sound much worse than it is. Lines like this are just LOL: "The brothers ran Macho Sports, a "sophisticated international gambling criminal enterprise that preyed upon the gambling addiction of its customers". One of my local "underground" clubs that I play at got busted a few years ago and the story was wrote out to make it look like it was something straight out of the movies. The paper listed a bunch of peoples names and added every ones nickname which gave us all a laugh. You can check it out here https://www.fbi.gov/newhaven/press-r...in-connecticut The game was mostly everyday working class people, lawyers, business owners, and even a couple cops played. We had a handful of guys who's jobs are in the gray area of course, but what card game or casino doesn't? Its an awesome group of people who I have played with for over 10 years and we never had any serious issues. A lot of it is just politics with agents and officials just trying to make a name for themselves and move up the ranks. They should be focusing on the real "crime" instead of people who enjoy playing poker or putting a bet on a game.

Macho Sports has to be the dumbest name I have ever heard of lol They were asking for attention it seems.
