Some decent ideas here on how to short it. Difficult plus you are taking a risk that the company you're "shorting" with isn't overexposed and goes bankrupt/runs away if Bitcoins crash.
Maybe bitcoins really will crush through the $100 barrier. If large users are hoarding them they will just continue to rise.
The end crash will be as a result of government intervention or some sort of large scale fraud/hacking. But a crash like this could just end Bitcoins.
So while originally I thought short bitcoins for sure at 70+ or 100+....now it seems like even buying them now might be a good idea. 2 weeks from now they're at 80-90 and you're laughing.
The higher it goes the higher the risk of govt intervention. If you don't want to sell at least take out your original money and let the rest ride. When it finally cracks I can see it dropping 50% or more in one 24 hour session.
These things are going to hit 150+ by april 11th
In 15 minutes it crashed from $17 to 1c, might wanna keep your head on a swivel kiddos
This is the only type of crash that will happen.
Bitcoins will continue to raise. Anyone gambling on their value has to pick up. It's like picking Over/Under on NBA but you can only pick Over so the total keeps rising but people still keep betting for action.
And then due to some major hack or possibly gov't intervention it's possible that it goes from $70-> $7 in one day....but it's not going to go $70->60->50->40->...->7

Bitcoin: Virtual Currency Enters Real World
By Kirsten Salyer Mar 22, 2013 5:50 PM ET
"Welcome to the real world, Bitcoin. The U.S. government has officially legitimized the popular crypto-currency and other "virtual currencies" by attempting to regulate them.
The U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network published a list of guidelines Monday applying money-laundering and record-keeping rules to companies that issue or exchange these currencies. This won't affect people using Bitcoins to purchase goods or services."
