Did any see Wayne LaPierre yesterday? I saw parts of his speech. Whether you agree or disagree with him, he is probably the most powerful leader of a group ever.

Gun control is dead. The NRA is simply too powerful. You will get some phony legislation which he will approve in advance. Wayne basically owns your face.

For the record, I have never even owned a gun, so I have no skin in the game. I am not a fan of assault weapons, but I am a Constitutionalist so I am torn. Plus, the bad guys already have the assault weapons so its a tough issue.

This is true and I agree, although I'm not sure where this truly applies in the gun topic. I am assuming your and my opinion on the large majority differs.

On the topic of overriding though, I think it is equally sad how one person (the president) also has the power to override. Specifically, how he comments that he will run around congress to push an agenda. No one person should have this kind of power.
