Robert Plant open to a Zeppelin Tour in 2014

After the 2007 Reunion, he was the only one who didnt feel like touring. He is now feeling up for it.

    Biggest Tour in History?

except for the Rolling Stones final tour, which is every year.

One of the first concerts I went to was Page and Plant together in 1994. John Paul Jones is great, but that was basically a Led Zeppelin reunion tour. And they were 20 years younger (holy crap, I'm old).

Seriously why would you get excited for this? Bunch of dinosaurs 40 years past their prime. I mean they were a great band, and put out a great live album (How the West was won) but why would you want to see them circa 2013?

John Paul Jones assured his fans he will be able to escape the nursing home in time to do the concert in 2014

They just played a few years ago and they sounded great.

Also, I still listen to the guys from the Grateful Dead, who have been around for almost 48 years now, and they still rock out harder than many current bands.

Thread title should be "Robert Plant open to making lots of money in 2014".

    no doubt

When I hear about some bands like the Stones or the Eagles charging really high prices, I shake my head, but Zeppelin is the first band I would pay 3 figures to see.

Eagles, Chicago and Zep; 3 bands that no matter what the set list is they pick for the night, will be songs you will know and be glad they played. Can't think of too many other bands like that, maybe Pink Floyd, but that's an acquired taste for many.

"Twenty million people tried to buy tickets to Led Zeppelin‘s lone reunion show in 2007 at London’s O2 Arena. Take a moment and let the crushing hugeness of that number sink in."

What percentage were people looking to just flip the ticket for a huge profit?

I got lucky. I got shutout for tix, but a friend from CA got 1 ticket, flew over there, snuck his stealth recording mics in (tiny mics that clip to your glasses), and got a decent recording of the show. We had it torrented by the next evening.
