This is pretty awesome. Starting from the farthest point out, I've never heard of most of this shit.

The Great Attractor. Gomez's Hamburger. Love these names.

One of my favorite topics I enjoy reading about, the universe. It never gets old--it's one of life's greatest puzzle.

I'll tell you this much, Interstellar space travel is pretty much impossible. Technology has peaked, almost everything possible has been invented. We've ALMOST exhausted all possibilities. All you need to know is that even the speed of light is to slow for interstellar space travel, enough said.

I'd be SHOCKED if a human being ever "and I mean ever" makes it outside the orbit of Mars.

There could be and probably is thousands if not millions of alien civilizations but we'll never know, The universe is that vast. We never have been or never will be visited by anything of alien origin. Sorry for the bad news

    Nice find, that's pretty cool.

People always talk about how small the universe makes them feel but when you take the small scale into account we're pretty damn big lol.

there is nothing new under the sun.

Maybe it refers to the fact that our perspective of time is merely our own perspective, and everything has already happened or is happening simultaneously. Or maybe ot just sounds cool. Maybe I should not have smoked so much so early...

Awesome. What blew my mind was the size of the Minecraft " world ". I've never played the game but it's insane how much area the player can explore.

LOL I didn't see that in there the first time. Yeah Minecraft is huge, it randomly generates the new areas as you move farther out. It's a fun game when played with certain mods but on it's own it's kinda bleh.

So apparently the guesstimated number of galaxies in our universe was a little off according to the good people at NASA.............. Just by a couple trillion or so.

Grains of sand on all the beaches and all that?

    Well not anymore

    its all procedure/observationally driven simulation.

so naturally as we expand the boundaries of the observed universe, the observable horizon expands with new content being between ourselves and it.

    fyi.

"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
