Straight From the Shelf

Since late 2010, everything I've written, recorded, drawn, photoshopped, etc. related to poker has been saved in a folder on my Desktop called The Pokerz. It's a pretty big file. There's a bunch of stuff in there I've never released or posted anywhere online. Quite often I'll be digging around in there looking for something, and stumble upon some dusty piece I'd forgotten all about. Sometimes I don't even remember making it.

Most of it sucks. That's why it's on the proverbial shelf. It's rejected material. But I'm gonna share some of it here because I figure at least a few of you would be interested.

I'll start off with a file called badrap.txt. I don't remember writing this, and have no idea what it was for.

I briefly kicked around the idea of writing a diss track about Marco and QJ's back when that was still going on. I wrote some verses for this, but that copy will remain on the shelf.

I like the fuckyeah mp3 file. It sounds like something that could be used as a theme song for a show. It has a journey(not the band) of discovery feel to it.

I envision expanding it & putting some lyrics to it & using it for the 22Q podcast theme song.

I'm just wondering, how many parody songs or anything that would take some artistic talent has QJ released since you left. I'm guessing zero. It's hard to believe anybody with any artistic talent would just stop producing stuff & probbaly shows that they(snakes in the grass) had very little to do with producing these videos while you were at QJ.

I would think it obvious that they had little to do with it, considering all the stuff I put out before and after QJs. But in their defense, they did replace me with SONNY CAINE right after I left. Check out these platinum hits:
