    "Beyond Counting" - James Grosjean

Druff, have you read this? Any opinions? It's pretty hard to find these days. And when it can be found, you can't get it for less than around $800.

Mostly outdated information, or worth the money? Not that I would ever spend this much on a book, anyway. Just curious of your thoughts on it, if any.

i've never seen the book but here is the little i've heard about it:

i understand it is a book that calculates odds and strategy for various casino games if you can see a dealers hole card--supposedly the blackjack players edge goes up to +10 with hole card from +1% with good card counting skill; 3 card poker goes up to +3.4% from -1.5%...

yet the book has no information on how to hole-card or which dealers are likely hole-card flashers. Supposedly very few dealers flash their hole cards and a hole-card player must spend a lot of time searching for dealers prone to doing that. Thus, its a skill/book that only serious players use.

Also, I understand the reserve room at the UNLV library has copy available for reading on site--can not be checked out

Yeah, that's what I have read about it, too. Also, craps (dice control, maybe?), and the "Big Six" wheel, which no one seems to talk about.
