Sad. At least they give you three hots and a cot in the hoosegow.
That really is sade because the guy is most likely mentally ill. Now he will just get shuffled through the prison system
I could basically just copy and paste my response from Vegas's thread here. It's a shame. Kid had a lot of promise. Unfortunately jail isn't the place to go for mental health issues, but maybe he'll get some type of clarity there. He used to talk a lot about traumatic brain injuries that he sustained. I don't know if his pattern of behavior was pre or post those injuries, but could be something to be looked into by his family. When people do this type of shit to their family over the course of years, it just wears on you, and they usually give up trying to find if there is an underlying issue. It might be as simple as being a crackhead, or a symptom of something more complex.

This is a link to a story about my cousin who was killed in Oregon. He was mentally ill but also had a very bad drinking problem. His family lives in Florida and they had no idea where he was until the police tracked them down to notify them of David's death.
He was a good example of the problem to me. If I saw him and had no prior knowledge of his issues I would have thought he was just another drunk on the streets. I am as guilty as anyone else for not giving a fuck when I see people like that, but I do think that the police should be better trained to interact and evaluate a person' mental capacities when dealing with the homeless.
I really do feel bad for Neverheeb.
He definitely does have some form of mental illness.
Also I don't understand how shoplifting became felony burglary. Perhaps this was done because the police are familiar with him, and are sick of having to repeatedly arrest him.
The reason for the felony burglary charge is bullshit: "He entered with an intent to steal".
So does pretty much every other shoplifter.
This is what happens to all people when their time is up in the porn industry.
I am liking my pick more now.
nvm.
Felony petty theft is the colloquial term for a statute in the California Penal Code (Section 666) that makes it possible for a person who commits the crime of petty theft to be charged with a felony rather than a misdemeanor if the accused had previously been convicted of a theft-related crime at any time in the past. The technical name for the charge is petty theft with a prior.
Though this law has been on the books in California since 1872, its existence took on new importance after the state's voters approved a three strikes law in a 1994 referendum, when it appeared on the ballot as Proposition 184. In certain cases, a person with two prior felony convictions has been charged with a third felony for committing a minor shoplifting crime. If one of the two previous felony charges had involved stealing in any manner then the shoplifting conviction, thus upgraded to a felony, would result in a mandatory sentence of 25 years to life in prison under the three-strikes law.
27 years old, homeless and hungry. Fucking hell heeb...
Hopefully he can plea that down under a felony otherwise you might as well be walking around with a ball and chain
Maybe this was the plan all along to go to jail hoping some dudes will dome him up.
